Liking those weather reports. Lots of sunshine for Saturday, and enough cloud on Wednesday morning to make the hikes from the car park to the campsite with luggage and beer easier and cooler.

From the Met Office site...

UK Outlook for Wednesday 17 Jun 2009 to Friday 26 Jun 2009:

Unsettled at first with rain extending to most parts from the northwest. It is in the nortwest where there is the risk of some heavier spells of rain on Wednesday into Thursday. It does however look as if pressure builds from the south so thereafter any rain becoming lighter and more patchy in nature. It also means that temperature should recover, probably to around the normal in the west of the UK, but may well become warm in the south and east, particularly late in the period. Not totally dry though, the northwest could see some patchy rain from time to time, elsewhere any rain will be of a showery type, and there could be some sharp showers at times, though parts of the south may well remain largely dry.

If it is sunny and its looking more positive day by day i can say with 100% certainty it will be entriely down to the sterling work by the fine guys and girls on this thread.

With WoW as our leader we've marched tireless towards our ultimate goal of a super scorchio glasto.

Friends and collegues have tried to dampen our spirits with relentless forwarding of that stupid monsoon report and nob head comments that "it always rains".

We may have been bloodied by their comments, but we remained unbowed, safe in the knowledge that basically they're all twats. That and the fact that it can't rain all the time.

And now good people if we can continue on this course we set for just 14 more days, then a glorious victory, our day in the sun will be upon us.

When you stroll out into that sunny field sometime in the next 14 days, i want you to spend a couple of moments to think about the guy who wrote that moonson report, and how much of a bellend he is.

So i'd like to take this opportunity to thank every single one of you, i thank you, the queen mum thanks you, the baby jesus thanks you.

I love the emotion in the weather thread  - Personally I'm going to hold off from celebrating just yet! Don't want to put myself through the rollercoaster I go through every year! I will do a proper check on the weather a couple of days before the festival - dont think my heart can take watching reports change from day to day. (obviuosly I will still check this thread though :P )

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
