Good thinking! Although, last year on the friday I took it waaaaay to far.

"wooooooow.....look at the lasers"

An idea to get bevy in:

Last year my mate stood a little back from the arena entrance with a plastic bottle of bevy.

I went in and took a few steps back.

My mate lobbed it as hard as he could with me stood in the arena ready to catch!

worked everytime, was really funny.

Anyone know if the Carling Cold Beer Amnesty is going to be there again this year?

If so then Zagreb, if you want to save money take in crates of Asda or any other cheap lager. The Carling CBA allowed you to swap cans of ANY beer for ice cold Carlings. You could save your money and get yourself at least two crates!

And also I wouldn't think you were likely to get ID'd going in to the festival. I mean the security on the gate aren't breaking the law letting you in if you're 16. Even if you have alcohol, that's nothing to do with them. Whereas someone working behind one of the bars would be breaking the law if the sold you beer or whatever.

They can't ID you for carrying booze or for even drinking it. You are allowed (unless there is a local by-law) to drink in public if you are under 18, it is just illegal to actually buy it.

Although, I think that it accounts for certain drinks....beer, wine etc. Dont think they would like you doing tequila slammers or anything!!

Contrary to popular belief, security are not there to personally protect your tents

Over 20,000 people in the campsite, it's impossible to watch them all... and who is going in and out of each and every tent.

But you will be happy to know that they did catch some people who were doing it, along with the police too and these were part of a gang of people who had been hitting a lot of festivals last summer.

Look after your own property

regarding thefts from tents! It was in the papers that it was an organised gang from liverpool! Shows how thick those scullys are, Half of Inverness at rockness and they rob tents instead of houses! :O:P:):P

Always someone to let the side down when folk are out to enjoy themselves, last year i was delighted to get a party both days back and fore, should have seen their faces when i met them in the pub and bought them a round of drinks, before heading out to rockness on the sunday! They were gobsmacked and i got a great tip, happy days! :D

I got ID'd at the bar last year, as I didn't have any ID on me I took off my sunglasses and politely informed the charming young lady that I was f**king 26! That seemed to work a treat. :)

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
