Nickelback

Bon Jovi were one of those bands played a lot in our house when we were growing up and I took my sister. Despite shite sound, Nickleback support and Jon Bon Jovi being full of hayfever and could hardly see let alone sing I still loved it. Not sure I'd pay to see them again but it was still great to see that bit of my childhood!

There is however no excuse for Nickleback anywhere...

to be fair, pearl jam really are a great band. i think what people got fed up with is that they're not the only band.

out of interest, are there any artists that you've liked who've come out over the last year to two? sorry, realised that sounds sarky, its not meant to :P

Bon Jovi have got a massive following indeed. A lot of old women though!

They're not really a rock band though, more a pop-rock band. Too cheesy and lacking in sentiment for my liking.

They seem to go down very well with a lot of people though.

ar-mee

1. the military forces of a nation, exclusive of the navy and in some countries the air force.

2. (in large military land forces) a unit consisting typically of two or more corps and a headquarters.

3. a large body of persons trained and armed for war.

4. any body of persons organized for any purpose: an army of census takers.

5. a very large number or group of something; a great multitude; a host: the army of the unemployed.

Hmm...you must really hate them... :P

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.

    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
