From what I see there's no band on this forum that has as many, mostly positive, posts as Doves. Shouldn't they therefore get a bigger headline slot than JP's? Then again, JP stage is the place to be. Will be one of Glasto's top 3 gigs! Kingdom of Rust is Class A. Really looking forward to hearing them.

lets hope for sunday night - blur on the pyramid, kasabian (poss) on the other will thin it out

plus you get the idiots that leave sunday :D leaving it the smallest numbers on site all weekend

and what could be better than finishing it off with any number of set enders

i'll be heading up there early whatever day their on and working my way in for a good spot

This Dove flu is getting to epidemic proportions. After 4 years of incubation its now spreading firstly via a successful mini tour, then the release of a dynamite album. This will be followed by more casualties this month with another tour over the Uk and Ireland. May will see the US succumb to Dove flu then it'll be the turn of the summer festivals. Any guesses to how many will be infected come glastonbury - 50,000?

very, very occasionally - unlikely to get it at a band gig, but they have played it the last 2 times they played glasto. that ones from 2005 and my personal fave was 2003 when they headlined the other stage on sunday (unfortunatly, there is no footage of that gig anywhere)

its not strictly speaking a doves track. they 1st realeased it as sub sub in 91 (when i 1st got into them) and then resurrected it as a doves closer

if you liked that one, check this out, its always better in the dark

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
