I do!!!

Didn't like it to start with so i'd been starting the album from track 2 when i'd listened to it therefore hadn't heard it for a while

Last nite i was driving home from work, had my ipod on random plugged into the car, jetstream came on & my inital reaction was to skip but i resisted, by the time the bass of the build up started it was turned up full whack, nice tune just didn't 'get it' at first

exactly, its hard to know where to put it untill i've heard it live, good point about 10.03 into pounding though.

after thinking about it on my ciggie break, I actually want 21 tracks, I think Greatest Denier could be a top live tune slotted in there somewhere.

one thing about the new album i've noticed, as strange as it may seem, is the bass, I had it in the car for awhile which doesnt have the best of stereos if im honest but as soon as i wacked it into my super duper new stereo w/subwoofer at home the power of the bass on some of the tracks really leapt out at me and I started to appreciate some of the tracks in a different way, a stange observation I know but one I thought I would mention

thelineofbestfit.com just posted the best review of the album ive read

i'll spare you cutting and pasting the whole review, you can read it here if you want.

but a couple of snippets for you

"How can I make you buy it? Well, if you made a mixtape of all your favourite Doves songs thus far, well, this is better than that really rather fine CD."

thats a very, very bold statement that, not sure i agree :P

but this is the best summation ive read

"The album does feel, at first, like it sags a teensy bit in the middle BUT if you go check out those songs on their own, they’re amazing. It’s just that the first and last thirds are titannically good."

love it :)

Tell you what. I brought Lost Broadcast when it first came out and vagually enjoyed it but never really picked it up after a few listens. Just been listening to it on spotify and f**k me I can't beleive I never listened to this more. I'm going to have to dig it up as well as get a few more before the festival me thinks

    • Brazil's first half was genuinely dreadful all round, not just the midfield, so they're absolutely not bulletproof. Whether Scotland have the quality to take advantage is a different question.   Tbf, that's as much on Morocco looking good, which I did think was a possibility. They could be a bit annoyed with themselves not to have scored more before Vini's goal tbh.
    • Surely nowadays with so much data analytics available on every division in world football and so much awareness that people aren't suckered in on the basis of a decent World Cup game... right?   Although tbf, from what I saw, Australia's game plan worked very well. But that was as much thanks to Turkey blowing varying opportunities given they created enough chances but couldn't finish, a la what happened with Switzerland against Qatar when they really could and should've won by 3/4 goals.
    • I missed Viagra Boys for a good spot for Gorillaz. Was a nice weekend and festival for me. Would definitely come back, if the line up is right. Get back home safe everyone.
    • The Last Temptation - new Heaven 17 documentary film directed by James Strong. Premiered at Sheffield Docfest this weekend.    I really enjoyed it. Affectionate, insightful, and honest. A nice mix of archival and footage, interviews and clips from the last tour. Martyn and Glenn are like an old married couple.   Plus a snippet of news from the Q&A, Martyn is recording new BEF material, and Phil Oakey has collaborated on the one of tracks. The film shows them meeting in Fagans for the first time in over 35 years.
    • Glad I’ve still got it booked off for my 50th
