Aye some people just want their own personal lineup

Promoters are there to make money and hopefully make the event more popular each year.. give it a few years and it will be just like TITP but in a better location

Yes i think so

Emo + Rockness = BAD BAD BAD!!!

But thats just my opinion, dont mean to offend anyone

Im sure our old pal Norman cook aint into The Killers and i really hope Rockness stays more to the dance music side as opposed to Razorlight, The feeling etc etc. If it became like that it would become TITP which in my opinion is getting worse, most of my mates aint going this year including me but are staying loyal to Rockness......of course.

;):P:rolleyes::O

I give up lol

When i did a wiki/similar to wiki search it referred to Rockness as a dance festival, i just want to keep it that way.

For being one of the biggest Dj's in the world, i think he can mix lol.

I understand its all about the money these days and i can see it falling into TITP for that reason, which sucks.....A LOT.

Fatboy should buy Rockness or something lol and hire people with his tastes to choose the lineup. That would be cool.

You didn't see him at Rockness last year then. if you had you would know he can't/doesn't mix any more, good tunes, but I would of preferred him to be mixing them live!

BINGO! on both counts!

I like the half dance half rock/indie whatever mix you get at Rockness, it helps bring a wide variety of people, so you meet absolutly class people, like the lassies from Fife last year who were offering poppers to the camera crews all weekend and claimed they had been on Jeremy Kyle! Looking massivley forward to Biffy followed by Prodigy!!

Of course i saw him last year and loved it. Agreed he hardly did any mixing but i wouldn't say he CANT mix. He kinda did press play yeah but he loves the crowd and i cant critisize him for that!! He was dancing about the stage a lot, you dont see many dj's doing that. I think he's kinda past the point where he has to prove he can DJ.

I have to say though i always thought of Rockness as a dance festival but you guys kinda owned me on that one

i was being sarcastic! if ppl want to listen to indie bands, they could go to any other mainstream festival in the uk, rockness started off as a dance festival, and thats what i believe it should continue as. Not every person who listens to dance music is a ned, and im sure, not every person who prefers other kinds of music, is so small minded

Ye true but I dont think any other festival in the UK could be as special a Rockness. The feeling you get when you first hit the long, thin stretch of road towards the Rockness gates and see the loch is hard to beat!!!

    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
