Hi,

With regarding the VIP tickets. The difference between these and normal tickets are that you have access to your own area with a great chill out arena, specialist food and drink stalls and this is the best bit..... your own clean toilets and showers... well worth the extra money....!!

essentially its the same campsite, but there is a fenced off part for "vips"

I had a vip last year, and the benefits are barely noticeable, the queue at the vip bar is longer than the normal queues (and costs the same). the toilets and food are slightly nicer but it is absolutely not worth paying extra for.

I think the guy up there has slipped an extra 'N' into 'area' because the chillout bit is definitely not an 'arena' its an 'area'.

if you buy a vip ticket, don't expect any special treatment, the vip area is oversold, and on a couple of occasions when I wanted to go in, they were operating a 1-in-1-out door policy.

Sorry to hear your experience wasn't what it should of been at Rock Ness 2008 regarding the VIP area.

We've made some changes for 2009 and here's some more info for you.......

We've got a VIP area in the Arena and in the Campsite.

The VIP camping area has been improved and upgraded from last year with the VIP campers having their own car park which is next to the VIP and Boutique campsites. There will be a sectioned off area within campsite 1 for VIP ticket holders and this will have its own exclusive shower block and toilet trailers. There will be food stalls and breakfast areas in there as well.

We've made the VIP area in the arena larger than last year with a bigger tent, with dj's playing all through the day/night. There are toilets trailers, large seating areas, coffee stalls, bars serving a full range of drinks, and stalls managed by local food producers all weekend.

The VIP area will be open 7pm Friday evening until midnight and then re-open again at 11am until midnight on Saturday and Sunday.

There will also be an acoustic session on Sunday morning/early afternoon as well for those that can make it...!!

Chris,

If I buy VIP camping tickets, would that mean I would get the benefits of being able to gain entry to the VIP area for the bar and toilets, but still be able to camp in the general area so I can be with any mates that don't want to spend the extra for VIP?

Cheers

The toilets are totally fine. So fine my mate spent a few hours in there fast asleep last year!

I went into the VIP area in 07 and i was bored in like 3minutes.

It makes sense to bring your own food. Like pasta and a sauce or something. You can fit loads into a tub and eat it cold! I dont agree with paying £5 for a burger.

You dont get the full festival experience being in the VIP area anyway.
