I've heard great things too. Part of the Film Festival here, think its on next week. Seems odd to be really looking forwards to watching a documentry about a bunch of singers in their 80s, but I really am

Not to worry, they royally shafted Wanted, that film has no resemblance to the book save for the names. So no doubt they'll screw up Kick-Ass just as badly.

I watched Red Dawn last night.

Even though it was one of the earliest Reaganite, anti Communist Propoganda Flicks, I grudgingly admit that it still has a lot of Power. It certainly doesn't glamourise the violence or shy away from showing consequence. A guilty pleasure.

One of the best comic books of recent years, a comic called Kick-Ass, I see is now getting the Hollywood treatment.

*sigh* A part of me is excited but another part of me dreads it mainly due to it starring Nicholas f*cking Cage. God dammit.

If you haven't checked out Kick-Ass I suggest you do. It's about a comic book fan who dons a costume (mask and diving suit bought from a shop) and goes out "saving the day". Except he usually ends up getting stabbed or run over and put in hospital for weeks, and the school spreads a rumour that his bruises and injuries are because he's a gay prostitute. He ends up on youtube and becomes known as "kickass". It's really good, very funny but dark, like Robocop or something.

No powers either, it's very much set in the real world, the characters have conversations like real people too.

I bet they make the film PG-13. It needs an 18 cert.

went to see saw 5 last night.

loved it.

answered plenty of questions and still a few to be answered in the next film... can't wait for the next one.

Hmm might see Saw5 tonight. I have not seen the others for ages. I see them when they come at in cinema. So have not seen saw 4 since this time last year.

Think im going to see Bond Fri night aswell. Should be good.

Just reading some of the reviews, Alot of them are not that good and says it's no where near as good as CR.

it was annoying when the two police men were in the room at the end. the good guy listened to the tape recording that told him he had to go in the box full of broken glass if he wanted to live.. then he pushed the bad guy in it! how could he have been so daft.. he finally solved it and then didn't f**kin live to tell anyone!

Saw 5 i will avoid like the plague...i don't think any of those films are good, bar, MAYBE, the twist at the end of the first one. Shocking cinema.

I'm watching "Walk The Line" right now - the Johnny Cash biopic - tis a wonderful film and one of my absolute faves, especially as I love JC anyway!

Realising while watching it that I have a habit of liking men with the initials JP.
