It'll be very much the same sadly - Dan Brown's the author. Though I quite like the idea that he created a whole narrative about a successful author called Dan Brown but used your character to suggest he was pulling the wool over people's eyes, knowing that in the main your opinion would be ignored, not understood or challenged and eventually dismissed as post modern nonsense thus preserving his status as a best selling and therefore good author.

Time and space. For another time and space to be able to pull us into it would require the kind of force bigger than all of our known universe. As the time and space being created is minute, I can't see how this could work. Unless of course it opens a gateway into another time and space, but I don't know if that's possible because they haven't yet created a proximity.
