  1. Oh please, oh please, oh please. 🙏
  2. That was an utter farce. Fucking diva strops all the way through instead of actually singing anything. Hate prima donnas.
  3. Just looked at the footage. Truly, truly awful. 😂😂😂
  4. Looks like the next couple of weeks will have a fair bit of rain, just in time for the major build work at the site. Think that was one of the problems in 2016 and the ground never really recovered. God, I hope it's not a repeat of that.
  5. Still too early to have much confidence in long range forecasts but I'm starting to concede that it's not looking great at this stage. 😞
  6. You get off that fence Mardy, you'll get splinters in your arse! Haven't seen any of the footage from the palace do, but regardless I'll definitely be at Diana Ross at Glastonbury. Dolly mostly lip-synced and it was still a great sing along and lots of fun.
  7. Wet Leg/Confidence Man will be overflowing. Williams Green on Thursday night always is and this year Mel C/Michael Eavis/Elvana will ensure it's no different.
  8. Completely agree with this. And once waterlogged they never really dry out again so you end up with trench foot.
  9. I get that. We’ve a 4 person tent for 2 of us and the porch is big enough to sit/stand in. I guess that 2 of those is not taking up any more space than your set up.
  10. People who judge who should and shouldn’t be allowed to buy tickets shouldn’t be allowed to buy tickets.
  11. I can see the point of a gazebo if you have a decent sized gang and want a bit of communal space, what I’ve never understood is the perimeter of red/white tape thing. It’s such a NIMBY/antisocial move, especially at a festival.
  12. Ferris & Sylvester. Bluesy folk/rock. Great harmonies. New album is class all the way through.
  13. Marshmallow Brothers?! 🤢🤮 Reproofed 2 jackets and a poncho yesterday. Tested the new power bank. Decided we need a new double bed of some sort. Undecided between another air bed or a proper camp bed. Hmmmm? 🤔
  14. I've had all 3 jabs, plus a bout of both Delta and Omicron (latter with zero symptoms) so I'm probably as immune as I'm likely to get and not really worried about catching it again. Appreciate there are those who are still vulnerable, but there is a strong argument that we just have to live with it at this point. Not going to test before heading down, will probably test before I go back to work just to be sure.
  15. Correct. It's probably glandular.
  16. Primal Scream are massively underwhelming live IMO. (seen only twice, but both recent).
  17. SE used to be mainly Arcadia/Shangri La. Big dance ravey field and an odd maze of micro venues and disorientating walkways with hidden doors. It was great fun. I find the SE corner now to be like a city centre, i.e a row of late dive bars and clubs you can't get in without a queue and not worth it when you do.
  18. We effectively made camp while he sat in a camp chair and mainlined cider. I call that even.
  19. There were 3 of us in the car. the non-drivers (me inc.) started drinking Stella about 1pm. Driver = not impressed....
  20. I'm in 2 minds about this set. I really liked early Oasis. I really liked his first 2 solo albums. I'm luke warm on the rest, He's a massive bell end. I'll need to be there earlyish for a good spot for Macca. No real clash issues. He's been a huge critic of the festival. The crowd will contain an above average percentage of sad Oasis devotees (see also: c**ts). I reckon I'll be there but slightly trepidatious about it.
  21. Always smacks my gob to see the aerial shots. It's mental that a large town exists for 5 days then goes away. Does anyone know how much of the land is Eavis' and which is leased?
  22. Considering this. But there's usually at least one night per festival where I'm so ruined I couldn't even operate the phone. My iPhone didn't even recognise my face on Saturday night in 2019. Fuck knows what I looked like.
