  1. Yeah it also isnt helped by the change in format in 2015. But heres a quick and nasty version. Quite happy to expand as and when new official maps are added to this thread (i've seen 2007 around somewhere).
  2. Park stage was already there by the time i went there the first time in 2008, but arcadia wasn't and I camped where that is now a couple of times and there certainly was a slope. Top of park is similar to pennards which is still slopey, as is south park. Plenty of places to camp in glasto if you want to wake up either with a headrush or already partially upright!
  3. I can't get over how tiny the site was. I guess the naughty corner was lost vagueness where "the ballroom" is marked? Even back at my first in 2008 it was significantly smaller than now! Though by then at least they'd added Park Stage, Trash City, and Paines/Dairy camping
  4. Its actually flapping. If you refresh you sometimes get the proper page. Looks like they've forgotten to reconfigure half of their cluster or load balancers or something.
  5. The lead booker will have your registration number on their confirmation too

    Pre-erected

This is a bit of a question mark... someone earlier asked the fest this and it wasn't guaranteed (as it was still being designed) but expected. WV always has and i think there would be a bit of a stink if there wasn't showers and toilets (no pun intended). In WV historically you cant get in without a special WV wristband. Presume the same with Sticklinch.
  7. 😯 This makes me a little sad
  8. Here’s a photo of the 2017 wristband. Absolutely nothing else to see on the photo.

Absolutely I would still do the festival without pre-erected camping, but as you say it takes a lot of the stress out of it.
  10. Conventional wisdom is that recent years have not seen secret sales, and its presumed any cancelled/failed payments ends up creating competition and hospitality tickets. But that said, 2022 is different - the resale was probably larger (due to changes in peoples circumstances since 2020), so that *might* mean more failed payments etc in the resale. So who knows!

Yeah on second look sticklinch does seem to have scouts and glastobells too. But WV is *only* scouts and Glastobells.

    Pre-erected

WV is/was mainly a group of different companies which do pre-erected and glamping options at a bunch of different festivals - tangerine fields, pod pads who take them to other festivals. Admittedly the glastopods seem to be exclusive, and I haven't seen the scout tents at other festivals but it would seem crazy if these are not reused at all. Does raise a question with the WV/Sticklinch split - perhaps the WV will now be the Glastonbury owned accommodation, with Sticklinch all the third party stuff (pods, yurts etc).
  13. Im gonna guess the Other stage is going to be pushed back 20 meters or so to increase the other stage area which has sometimes become a bit crowded by the food vans at the back. This might mean dreamtime bar has to be moved, and maybe changes to the glade which might be more affected by the sound from the other stage.
  14. On a related note which didn’t deserve its own thread, I dig out the code and fired it up again. Looks like The main glastonbury page is having a bit of a flap between the real page and the Sunday holding page.
  15. One advantage of a multiroom tent is having a communal area to sit in if its peeing with rain, which also gives a bit of a private environment to get ready in etc. Most big groups get by with a gazebo of course.
  16. Yeah as per the previous post, you wont be able to do that (imagine people bypassing the queues that way if you could!) So i think options are: Getting dropped off at the drop off point Getting the shuttle from the WV car park back to the coach station and Gate A - the bus driver might look confused as people won't usually be doing that on the first few days, but it should be there somewhere. If the group your going with have "capacity" in their tent (e.g. a couple in a 4 person bell) they register you for one of their EPO/WV wristbands even though you wont actually be staying in their tent.
  17. It is different, and if you're with a big group of people you're better off carving your own chunk of the main site. But it is nice getting some sleep, not having to worry about being kicked in the head by drunk passer-bys, and you typically have the campfire in the area with the bar. So not soulless, I'd say more "Chill".

Cool similar to previous years then (i've done 2016 and 2017 at WV). I heard something about plastic bands in 2019 though? Was that the only band you got, or in addition to the main festival band? in 16/17 it was a different fabric band to the rest of the festival public, with "EPO" (Enhanced pass-out) written on it. I also heard something about a digital barcode system they were trialling.
  19. I didn't, but I dont have it running at the moment. I should probably switch it back on.

You'll want to check what the pass-out band situation is this year. Historically you've gotten a special pass out band at pennard gate giving you access to WV, which you wouldnt get at the other gates. I believe 2019 was slightly different though.

He probably just means he set off at 8pm but it took him that long to get up the hill!
  22. Thanks 🙂 It's possible, but less useful from the point of view of the secret sales as they don't seem to happen any more (at least not at the same scale), but i know some people also used it to monitor things like the map updates etc. I still have it but I deleted everyones data when GDPR kicked in.
  23. I’ve been flicking through the glastonbury 50 book. Just has the ability to pull out those emotions
  24. I saw that message a bunch of times! Mine was a really weird situation. I got all the way through to submitting payment which seemed to work, but then also said "there has been a problem". Wouldn't let me submit again.. in the end i tried from the beginning again, and it said that there was already an order pending on my registrations and wouldnt let me continue. I wasnt sure if that meant i'd been successful or not (turns out it didn't). After much resubmitting and a bit of going back and forward i finally managed to get through.
  25. I'm back in again this year after missing out on 2019. After 3 unsuccessful sales I was beginning to worry i'd lost my touch!
