  1. Now they have reversed it! The cut through is back on the main click-thru map, but not the map on the information page. They're trying to confuse us. They are definitely watching and teasing us. Sorry glasto peeps, but I still don't think its right!
  2. Pretty good at ignoring my pleas for booking my favourite bands, backstage passes, and giving me hospitality tickets when i miss out on the sales though! Yeah Glastonbury Festival - I know you can see this and I'm watching you! 👀
  3. Literally the only change as far as i can tell
  4. Am I the only one who's a little bit excited about the change to the Glade? This will be my 10th Glasto and it's partly the changes which keep me interested. Trust the festival, they make changes, some of them good, some of them less good, but they always put on a good show. Even the less-good changes contribute to the experience.
  5. I'm gonna get a reputation as a bubble burster here, but thats not on the larger, full quality map when you click through.
  6. yeah definitely wasnt there 2013 and 2014. Id more guess that the main glade stage will be that blue blob. Whether its the same shape as the old glade stage i dont know. There will still be other things in the trees. I'm sure spike will still be there, and they might have something else in that new green spot (which has changed shape).
  7. which is nowhere near that size. This is the same size/shape icon as WOW, for comparison. Edit: Correction, same size/shape as Sonic.
  8. Then what's the massive blue tent marked on the map 😉? I'm afraid its wishful thinking - this shows the intention (at least today) of moving the Glade stage. Unless something changes, we might as well get used to it! It's not without precedent too - See 2013 (when the spider was in the same area) and 2014 (where they just decided not to have it there, presumably to limit noise clash with the other stage).
  9. Indeed - theres some contradiction/lack of clarity about what is hospitality camping in the north west too. The sticklinch gate isn't labelled. I reckon there will be a few changes to this. I'm disappointed the market area for sticklinch seems to be much smaller than the area in WV. Looks like we wont have the waffle tent 😞
  10. I think you are wrong. I think its moved. Not the first time they've done it. They have issues with sound clashes with the other stage, and with the increase in capacity they are probably hoping to accommodate more people in that area.
  11. I think you're right - more of the space from park home ground taken shifting north. Hope that means they are expecting the sound to be able to cover it!
  12. yeah struggling to find a high res copy of 2019
  13. I notice the glade stage has moved out of the glade and where they had spirit of 71 stage/spike over the years.

    Traff Tips

You raise a very good point - I wonder if traffic considerations are one of the reasons they've chosen to remove the campers from the west side of the site. Hate to be a Clarkson, but pretty sure the folk who only drive a campervan once a year, squeezing it around the corners of glastonbury town and in the bunching up the jams of the A361 they have been a significant factor.

    Glastocam!

Yeah that would be nice. They wouldn't be able to take advantage of the curving on the pyramid though (the screens at glasto are taller than the stage opening), and they probably wouldn.t want to obscure the iconic shape.

    Traff Tips

I felt very smug that year. We arrived roughly at peak, on or around 10am. I think we approached from the southwest via glastonbury so met a bit of traffic there, but when we got to Glastonbury town i *think* we veered away from most of the traffic at Butleigh road through Baltonsborough. I believe the east side was worse that year as thats where the caravans were being torn apart and pulled off their axels by tractors (getting destroyed as Neil Parish would put it). Of course if you have pre-erected camping you can worry less about getting there early to reserve your spot. Sadly on the new Sticklinch (where we are this year) it looks like arrival is the same route as most of the traffic on the A361 so limited opportunity to avoid traffic.

    Glastocam!

If i'm remembering rightly though, previously the screens were free-swinging in between the vertical struts and could be lowered and raised. This middle strut would prevent that (too much risk of wind bashing them around). This suggests they are replacing with something fixed or on static rails in front of the posts rather than between them, and therefore likely much larger. Wonder how they'll make it storm/wind proof. there would have to be baffles or a canopy behind them.
  18. it could just be re-jigging the menus. You can see now there are links on their main lineup page to the different stages
  19. Looks like they are prepping for a full line up poster change imminently too - minor changes to the lineup page on the glastonbury site.
  20. They are like hens teeth encapsulated in unicorn themed rocking horse shit covered in gold dust... Very unlikely.
  21. Yeah not sure why they've done that, but i expect WV/SL parking will be available again.
  22. What gate do you use if your campervan is a different colour?
