Sorted. Paid more than I'd like but...it's Blur.

    Ticketmaster queues are the worst.
  4. She managed to squeeze solo gigs during their US reunion tour run last time - she's a pretty hard worker! Although I don't imagine Spice Girls will be at Glastonbury in 2023. After how packed Williams Green was for Melanie C's DJ set, hopefully she'll get a proper slot this year.

I've done a few 'first come, first served' golden circles - The Cure @ Hyde Park, Carole King @ Hyde Park, Springsteen @ Etihad - and it's definitely enjoyable to know you can pop out between acts to grab a beer, go to toilet, and have a good spot to come back to. It feels like a reward for turning up early to watch the first band on. It always amazes me how empty they are though. It's great when you're in them - you have so much space around you but then everyone outside of the GC is absolutely crammed in. It sucks when you've paid a lot for standing and are crammed in outside an empty golden circle (which I've experienced lots of times!)

  7. 3rd down Pyramid seems too high for him now but not impossible. Would expect him to pop up somewhere mid Pyramid over the weekend.
  8. I think Jack Johnson is an obvious contender for the Crowded House/Sheryl Crow slot. 5th down Pyramid on the Friday.

They've done smaller warm up shows on the last few reunions. I saw them at Wolves Civic Hall in 2012 and then a 250 cap gig at Newhampton Arts Centre in 2015. I can't see them just doing Wembley Stadium without some other shows regardless of what the blurb says.

Ouch @ those prices. Great supporting lineup though (although probably not for the majority of the crowd who will talk over anything that wasn't from the 90s). They are such an incredible live band though that I just can't see myself missing it.
  11. Peter Gabriel touring in June. Has the Sat night free but would be 4 shows in a row.
  12. I saw Fred Again's other Primavera set and agree that the screens really helped. Would still be incredible with or without them but adds an extra something for everyone to be able to see what he's doing up there.
  13. We're in! Can barely look at this forum until tickets are in the bag. We've had to accept a later coach than we would usually go for but I'd hate to have passed on it to then fail in the Sunday sale. Rather be there later than planned than miss out entirely. Not all of our group is convinced we've made the right decision but I'm thrilled to be going for an 11th time and am all too aware that my luck may soon run out.
  14. Cardiff sorted. Nice and easy.
  15. Booking fees were still £7.25 per ticket.
  16. Same. Loved it being the start of festival season and not clashing with so many other events.
  17. Got tickets for Bristol. It's a great smaller stadium - they don't overfill it, bar queues are good, sound and sight lines good. Excellent supporting lineup for this as well.
  18. She did this at Royal Albert Hall a couple of years ago and I can confirm that it was excellent fun.
  19. It's incredibly expensive. I'd imagine he's planning some outdoor UK gigs in the Summer which will be announced once the arena dates are over. The random Oslo date in June is probably more an indication of that than anything else.
  20. I have tickets for Ian Brown in Birmingham next week. I've always known he's a shit singer and a bit of a dickhead but figured that with a decent band behind him, it'll be a good night out. It makes no sense at all for an artist like him to not have a band as it just draws attention to the vocals.
  21. Just to chime in with the Fred Again love, his set at Primavera this year was absolute perfection. I'll remember it forever.
