SZA UK/EU dates finish in Dublin on 21 June then she's free until September. It's hard to see where she'd fit though - she's an Other headliner or Pyramid sub at least and we seem to have lots of those already!

I saw them in William's Green in 2016 although think it was a (not so) secret set. -
3 of these artists have had massive top 40 hits this year and so, if you don't know them, that's definitely you being out of the cultural zeitgeist rather than BST.

It's a difficult slot as the crowd is often people waiting around to get a good spot for the main headliner. My favourite one is definitely Lorde in 2022. Other highlights - Faithless in 2010, The xx in 2017 & Vampire Weekend in 2019.

I think the big novelty pop act tends to shut down that stage/field - McFly, Busted, Bananarama, Sugababes. Not convinced JLS are quite as popular as those acts with the Glastonbury crowd but still comes with some of the risks identified in the council feedback.

Arctics are pretty big with the younger crowd, they'll be very happy about it. Elton's team have also done a great job of marketing his back catalogue over the past few years to make him a popular act across all demographics.

I'll never understand the negativity around the lineup announcement each year. Especially when so much of it is what we were expecting anyway. I'm very excited - lots of great stuff here and, as ever, it's just the start.

They were booked to headline JP in 2020 so I don't see why it wouldn't be true this time.

Same. So bloody special. It was an absolute one off though. She doesn't tour and admitted that doing that one show was a stretch vocally.

A real shame but the Thursday became out of control. Mostly caused by the people sunbathing outside it causing complete bottlenecks. Hope we get something similar for the smaller acts you can catch over the weekend. Saw Sprints, Sinead O'Brien, WH Lung & Sorry play to small crowds there in '22.

It's almost offensive that APE are having The Strokes again after what happened last time. I have never experienced anything like it - they literally just turned off half the speakers and refused to refund anyone.

Well he sold 3 nights at The O2 and even then fans without tickets rushed the barriers so the demand was certainly there for London stadium shows.

Oh I agree that is more likely. But if they were looking for a female Other headliner then she could do it in my view.

I think Becky Hill would be a great shout for Saturday night Other headliner. She has been pulling in huge festival crowds and would make a great alternative for people looking for a night of dance bangers. Several festivals had to close stages off last year because of the size of her crowd.

Nowhere near that size now.

Seems unlikely after they played to a tent that was about 1/4 full last time. Admittedly they lost a lot of the crowd after the delay in coming on while the crew tried to put their stage together. They were still incredible (as ever) but a seriously under-attended set.

I actually have tickets to see him at the O2 in April (have had these for literally years). It's been rescheduled a few times so tempted to get a refund and just see him at Glastonbury instead where the atmosphere will be so much better. On the other hand, it's likely to be so busy that maybe seeing him 2 months before means I can skip all the hassle of a busy Pyramid set and go to something else.

Yeah, Future Islands are an exceptional live band. That Other Stage slot a few years back was an all-time festival moment for me.
