  1. Covid has been tough on us all, they are probably saving money by getting Dave's kids to do it and flying in business class rather than first.
  2. I don’t think you’re giving Latitude enough credit there. They have had Mumford & Sons, The Killers etc headline in recent years plus Finsbury Park is where Eric Prydz plays so it can’t be a gig then. 😜
  3. To get out of Ezra headlining by promoting new bands can we just get holograms to headline instead? There's enough hologram bands who have never headlined out there to forever keep him from headlining.
  4. That's fucked things up as While She Sleeps now clashes with Frankie T who were the big draws for me. Don Broco are fun but I’ve seen them enough times before and with how both NoFX and the trains can be iffy I may just leave early to avoid the crowds.
  5. Maybe but by skipping the UK they are missing out one of the biggest paydays in terms of ticket prices and audience size in Europe and Metrallica do like paydays.
  6. I'm hoping with FR having had Queens pull out of R&L but expected to play Glasto in June next year which is too early for R&L and Rage getting a very meh reaction to their R&L announcement but touring next year with Run The Jewels as their support who have their own UK June dates FR will consider them both for their own day festival at Finsbury. Sort out the shit bar system, grab a few half decent bands on the line up and that's me buying a ticket.
  7. Given the bar system was utter shit for Queens I'd probably miss it unless there's an amazing line up. I think it might be a bit small though as the last lot of shows were 45k capacity unless they have upped it now otherwise I'd thought they would just play at Wembley or Twickenham instead.
  8. I’m not so sure about Foos at Wembley in 2020, that would have been around the same time as the Euros which had Wembley booked already unless it was gonna be in July.
  9. It's hardly a "riot", it's a few dickheads tipping over toilets and setting fire to their tents on the Sunday night and even then it's isolated to certain parts of the camp so you can miss it completely. I can't wait for the article to dress it up as something like the UK Tibetan uprising. lol
  10. Where is his pop up in London?
  11. I would have thought the costs of an extra day would increase the tix prices and most of them have already been carried over from 2020.
  12. I would think they are a good fit for British Summer Time but that’s an AEG event and Metallica like to scheme with Live Nation though. https://loudwire.com/metallica-rep-live-nation-scam/
  13. I thought someone in the thread mentioned Metallica are playing Download Germany.
  14. I didn't think liking Hardwired would be such a controversial statement. lol Metallica have done 11 albums and I'd say Hardwired is a lot better than Lulu, Load, Reload, St Anger and Death Magnetic so it should be top 6 for most people anyway. For me it's the album that got me back into listening to Metallica, after years of going to festivals and feeling like I'm forced to watch Metallica yet again and with years' worth of dud albums to find they actually did an something worth listening to more than once got me excited.
  15. From what I recall of that he was trying to be rock 'n roll and kick the camera out of her hands but it ended up kicking the camera into her in the face rather than he's beating women or something along those lines. Although his beak up with Brody seems to filled with the pair of them accusing each other of domestic abuse. I do remember when he got into an argument with a heckler in a crowd and called him a "faggot" so then people on social media called him homophobic and to prove that he wasn't he talks about how he also told the heckler he was going to fuck him in the arse to prove he's not.
  16. They sold out Ally Pally with ease and have sold out 4 nights at Brixton Academy which is about the same as O2 arena. They are pulling arena numbers already.
  17. Why would it be a secret set though? They aren't bigger than the spot they would be playing in as apart from festivals everytime I've seen them it's been in pub venues.
  18. I've seen them around 5-10 times, they have been decent to brilliant every time I've seen them but the line up changes don't help. I really miss the days when it was Nick Oliveri, Mark Lanegan etc and I've still got no idea why they fired Joey Castillo who was a beast of a drummer.
  19. In some ways Reading will always be the same, forever filled with 16 year olds who can't handle their drink.
  20. That’s a Korn song, not Metallica. 😜
  21. I didn’t realise he went back to the States but just because he has cancer doesn’t mean it’s impossible for him to play even though I don’t thinks it’s likely. For example Tony Iommi managed to do a world tour with Black Sabbath with him returning to the States every few weeks for treatments.
  22. I felt old going to Reading in my 20s, on the plus side all the tweens there who can't get served means the bars were fairly quick.
  23. I just got an email with some info (and a video which is below) and apparently they aren't going to tell people the line up until just before it happens next year. I will still go as it's a great festival but I would like to know who I'm seeing before I go so I can get hyped for them.
  24. I was thinking of maybe an acoustic Blink 182 secret set since they have done that in the past plus Hoppus lives in the UK and Skiba is there too but it depends on how Hoppus is doing with the cancer treatment.
