  1. EOTR all over again. I chose to do half and half that time, but wasn’t satisfactory really, should have chosen one and stayed there
  2. Thanks anyway, appreciate you looking
  3. A long shot this so late in the day but I’m looking for a kids ticket. Me and child #2 are already going but my wife is pleading with me to take child #1 for the sake of her sanity and some respite from the constant arguments with child #3! I’ve been looking on fanticks and twickets but it’s all adult tickets or pairs at the moment. As I said a real long shot but if anyone knows of anyone looking to offload a kids ticket I’d be most grateful. Many thanks!
  4. Well done & thanks to those who contributed to the clashfinder. Been running through it and getting to know a number of the acts. Friday’s line up is superb (it’s always the Friday isn’t it!). Crazy clashes early doors with English Teacher, Mandy Indiana & Fat Dog all at same time - hoping confirmation of the Boat timings will help. Really liking Automotion as well, first up on the Big Top.
  5. And Cate Le Bon v Kraftwerk, not a clash I’d ever have thought possible but there it is! Hoping that the Beach House/Bicep staggered times indicated above are a sign for similar on the Friday…
  6. Great to get day splits! After missing out on Glasto I’m really looking forward to this. It’s such a great line up and some potentially tricky clashes! Even on Thursday, Yves Tumor v Penelope Isles will have me torn. Also can’t believe the exact same clash on the Sunday - Michael K v Parquet Courts - as at EOTR a couple of years ago! I’ll probably do a half and half again!
  7. I’d had 100% success rate for every festival that I tried for tickets - 14 - up until this year. I got a friend a ticket in the resale - so if I had wanted one myself I would have kept that run going. Instead I listened to the voice in my head (my wife’s) saying there’s too much other stuff going on in our lives at the moment so I passed it by. It didn’t stop me entering every competition going to try and get in on the sly and have an excuse for going! No luck however 🙂
  8. I missed out in 2019 for this year so grabbed Green Man and EOTR tickets at the end of last year. It’s been hellish these last few weeks leading up to, and during Glastonbury, but it’s quite nice to know my festival fix is still to come later in the summer. The only problem with GM and EOTR is that they are both within 2 weeks of each other and at the end of the summer. I did Bearded Theory a few years back and thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to find the Glasto spirit, a really nice vibe and early in the summer. Always wish I had done Boomtown and hope to make it there someday.
  9. Enjoy! I’m fairly sure once you get there you won’t be think of Glasto much! Thanks for starting this group therapy, it’s been a real help!
  10. Yes we’ve tried to do that as well & the last two Sundays I’ve been there have ended with two of the best headliners for me over these recent years, Justice in 2017 and The Cure in 2019. However once the main stages close I am usually ready to drop!
  11. Totally agree, I always find the Sunday hard knowing it’s the last day and thinking about re-entry to reality the following day. I think we’ve made it through the worst of it people!
  12. Not on site this year but I swear there’s always at least one member of Hot Chip in the Crows Nest whenever I’ve been there!
  13. I’m actually quite enjoying NG. Didn’t think I would but it’s reawakening the Oasis fanboy in me from back in the 90s. I wouldn’t have been anywhere near this if I was there but a benefit of the iPlayer being able to stick it on for 30 mins
  14. Yep, really helped yesterday, I sat down about 9:30 after a busy day and watched quite a lot of Billie with my daughter and when she went to bed I channel hopped between Foals, Simz and Four Tet (which looked incredible!) I then moved onto some highlights from during the day - Wet Leg, Wolf Alice, Dry Cleaning, Crowded House - and then realised it was 2am and I had to get up early! More of the same tonight I hope - cannot wait for Macca
  15. Seriously though, it’s R.E.M.
  16. I’m sure we found that place randomly a few years ago, people standing on tables and hanging from the tent to sing-along with the piano, it was wonderful
  17. I remember 2008 (of all years!) being stuck in a crowd bottleneck heading towards the Pyramid for JayZ after Amy Winehouse had finished. Literally two waves of people against each other and no one moving in the direction they wanted for about 15-20 minutes. There have been others but it’s been a while since anything like that, sounds like it’s a busy one this year. Stay safe everyone
  18. They’ve just tweeted to say they can’t do the show. Real shame
  19. Well this is going to help the demand for tickets later in the year 🤨
  20. Day 2 done, and I allowed myself to listen to 6music for a while during the day and watched a bit of the tv stuff this eve. Currently pretending it’s not happening however by watching a load of old sets from the past. These next 3 days are going to drag…
  21. They announced yesterday that their Dublin show tonight was cancelled due to covid cases ‘in band and crew’ - but no further announcements about Glasto so far
  22. Could be the West Holts bar. On the right hand side of the field as you look at WH stage
  23. Yeah this is me as well. Missed out on tickets in 2019 & despite entering every competition going, winning a ticket was the only way I could have justified going this year as lots going on at home. I think due to the 3 year absence I’ve enjoyed the build up more this year than ever, but now it’s actually happening & I’m seeing wonderful photos of the site and everyone arriving it’s making me feel pretty down. But - I will be watching tonnes on the box over the wkend & I will continue to enjoy peoples photos/videos of the site. It looks glorious and I’m so happy it’s a good one weather wise after such a wait. Soak it in!! And fingers crossed I can be there in 2023!!
  24. Just walk up the hill from the Park and it’s on the left of the sign, a bit further left beyond Tricketts Bar. The highest stage at the festival!
