Back to the original point, what do you feel Emily isn't doing that she normally has by now? And to echo the above comment, to speculate on someone's health when you know nothing of their actual situation is a bit sh*tty.

The effect of covid losses and rampant inflation - many areas had their field budgets frozen. Don't forget lots of festivals have gone out of business since 2019 - staying alive trumps innovation during these tough times. But that said, we did get The Levels and all new Silver Hayes.

This is a post about volunteering in 2024. Sorry to hear about your experience but I’m not sure what the rants here are solving - it would be much more effective through the official channels. Aside from that, this thread and the ones from previous years have always been positive, polite and helpful so please let’s not let it decend into bickering. Thank you.

I did wonder that, but Festaff filled their Glasto places without opening them to first timers this year, and you also have to agree to do a second festival with them too. So, I’m not sure what they’d gain from a fake scam warning!

They already said they are not. Please can you move on now and not take over this thread with negativity. Oxfam have clear contact details and a complaints procedure if anyone wants to raise their issues.

For balance, I’ll just add here that I’ve never encountered any problems - I’ve been informed about RA’s and have always been able to accommodate them without any issues.
