  1. This is advanced level geek bedtime reading for me! Thank you 😂
  2. It’s not my usual kind of bar so I’ve not paid much attention 😂
  3. I guess the festival didn’t want the photos to reveal vital infrastructure that will probably not be visible when finished. There are two theories for the fibre farm project I’ve heard of - one is they are being put in by bbc for broadcast purposes and the other is provision of internet services at the gates for more EPO scanners and tech.
  4. But you can still buy the milk at a stall by the pyramid!

    Glastocam!

they were still laying trackway across back of other stage field when we arrived on the Monday last year! I think there was/is a shortage of it so the stuff that’s non-essential for the build can go down very last minute after it’s been used elsewhere.

    The Glade 2024

Yep, exactly what I thought and @incidenthas hit the nail on the head.

    The Glade 2024

As you think everyone else is wrong, why do you think it's been changed?

    The Glade 2024

Glade Area is independently run so I think the area organisers put it out there but it was vetoed by GFL.

    The Glade 2024

No... they actually posted 'first ever live headliner on a thursday' so I'd say it's clear they realised the roadblock / danger implications.

  12. If you're still pushing the Emily is a liar narrative would you care to explain why you think she'd make stuff up? The end result is no different - all tickets are sold. Because it took 18 minutes she must have been bullshitting?

    Camper van east quite

It’s really not that different… apart from a few hundred yards walking each time!

    UK Politics

He’s not stupid enough to think he’ll have a next parliament. It’s all about stoking things up and making it more difficult for Labour to have any meaningful impact in their first term.

    UK Politics

Just some more divisive rhetoric from our failed unelected prime minister. He hasn’t got time to make any reforms like this.
  16. You won’t miss it when you’re there! Congrats to those of you who got lucky! If you didn’t and you still want to go, then follow this thread for the final last chance saloon!
  17. It’s the new area of Shangri-La called Arrivals. Having a nice Sunday session exploring some of this stuff.

    BBC2 @ 60

sh*t sells! Fair play to him. Lucky bugger!

    Deluxe Diner 2024

£70 for fine dining silver service in a field is actually good value. But I don’t want that then. Menu looks amazing and I’d go on any another Sunday!

    BBC2 @ 60

Calvin Harris on John Peel in 2007. Who’d have thought he’d become one of the top 10 richest DJ’s in the world? 🤯

    BBC2 @ 60

Just saw that. Powerful stuff! As someone who’s not into Stormzy and didn’t go to see him, I was proper emotional watching that. Probably something to do with the 3 pints I’ve had after a month on medication 😂

    Shangri La

Every space should be free from harassment and it’s on all of us to call it out if we see it, as with any vile behaviour. So I don’t see it as a solution to the problem, segregation sucks.
  23. stuie

    Shangri La

It just seems at odds with the festival ethos of everyone partying together regardless. Opening it up to everyone, so long as they respect the vibe is probably the right thing to do - just like the NYCD.
  24. stuie

    Shangri La

Hopefully they just realised that in 2024 segregation of any kind is an awful decision.
  25. Fair, but I'm not angry - just discussing. Tbh, yours was one of several similar posts I could have chosen but I was genuinely interested to see if people still thought Emily was bullshitting about the lowest level of returns ever!
