  1. I read it as putting him in play for 2023.
  2. Ah thats a shame, was gonna try for their Forum gig next month. Not terribly surprising though. Still gonna be a while for the Antipodeans.
  3. It’s back. Going back to May next year. Only £30 to start with: https://wideawakelondon.co.uk/
  4. Croke Park isn’t a football stadium so doesn’t get used till later on in the summer, probably not a terrible time to do it.
  5. I mean he didn’t sing, but he was definitely on stage during Vlad the Impaler
  6. Until there’s some evidence she’s emerging from the studio I can’t take it too seriously. She’s probably still the third most plausible headliner in the absence of anything else concrete for other artists, but leagues behind Billie and even Macca in terms of likelihood.
  7. Is there a record of acts doing a headline as a complete one-off without a tour though? Only one I can think of in recent memory (ironically enough) is Kanye.
  8. Is it basically just Serge at this point? Agree a TBA is most likely for them.
  9. It works in Werchter because the licence goes till about 2am, so you could have Oasis followed by The Prodigy (I haven’t been there in a while) and both be legit headliners. Ultimately, over here, while it can be managed by alternating at places like R&L, someone will be playing in daylight.

I wouldn’t go that far. While the new album isn’t really arena material, she has 2 albums which definitely are.

Given it a listen. Low energy but I quite like it. Glad to be seeing her at the Roundhouse- think the new material will struggle somewhere larger like Ally Pally (and if she subs Pyramid).
  12. The competitions seem to be starting on Instagram if people are looking at chancing their arm for free tickets. Seen one with Zapp and another with White Claw.
  13. And wouldn’t ya know it I won Supergrass tickets in the competition! What are the odds?!
  14. Unless they’re in the Championship. In which case at least one of them gets promoted. Same with West Brom and Fulham.
  15. They’re back then. 3rd on Pyramid/ Other sub depending how the days break. Post legend perhaps?
  16. Given how often he signed Nolan he must have liked knock knock knocking on Kevin’s door. (I’m so sorry)
  17. Never seen a decent YouTube of it, so thanks for that! Was a bloody good gig.
  18. 2008 at Anfield. He did drums for Back in the USSR. Great stuff. He probably did more that year as well I guess.
  19. Absolutely. And what do we even mean by it? Do we mean “is big in every country in the world”? Or do we mean “have cracked America”? Obviously it’s totally subjective, but I wouldn’t have called Florence, Kasabian or Stormzy global stars when they headlined. Even if the concept can be defined, I don’t think it’s a prerequisite.

  22. I would say plenty of big artists such as U2 and the Stones are reluctant to do shows off their own terms and both made exceptions for Glastonbury. “I haven’t been asked, no,” he previously told BBC Radio 6’s Matt Everitt. “I mean, they may have asked – but no one’s ever told me. “But I love Glastonbury – what Glastonbury is good at, not just putting all sorts of music on the big stages, but it’s a great springboard for young acts.” Doesn’t sound to me like a guy who’s vowed never to play. Think it’s more likely that neither side has gone out of their way reaching out.
  23. I make it 20 and a bit. If Billie comes to pass, she’ll be 20 and a slightly bigger bit. I wanna get to the bottom of that one though. Just goes to show it ain’t unprecedented I guess.
  24. If we’re counting lead singers, I think Tim Wheeler from Ash might just beat her (by about a fortnight). Only done a cursory search mind. There could definitely be others.
  25. Always reminds me of this stat which still blows my mind. The mans got nothing to prove.
