  1. Yeah there were big backlogs in Wales and NI. It’s still a good step in the right direction even factoring that in.
  2. I’d say a combination of Sturgeon relenting and the 6 nations starting in 3 and a half weeks makes it unlikely the restrictions will make it to February. No chance. It’s totally performative. Ive never once had my qr code scanned, and I’ve been to plenty of places that “require” them. I could have shown them a Ryanair ticket and they’d have waved it through.
  3. 2 more months without an announcement obviously risks sending the forum into full Ouroboros mode, but part of me would like there to be no further announcement prior to deposit. It would throw a fair few tickets in from the casuals, and my people who missed out would go regardless of the lineup. I dare say a fair few of the unlucky ones here would feel the same.
  4. I reckon we need one more week of things moving in the right direction, then if so we’ll get something substantive next week. Would be glad to be proven wrong and it be earlier.
  5. Glastonbury of course, still only semi professional, with the manager having a day job as a farmer..
  6. I’m here for the cider bus serving everything in Sports Direct mugs.
  7. When interviewed after his triumphant performance at the Scottish Cup he did also say he wanted the FA Cup gig at some point. Maybe he’ll get it for the 5th round.
  8. Was very disappointed he didn’t do the 4th round draw yesterday.
  9. Melvin on board (with a track record of delivering festivals last year) firming things up. 100%.
  10. Really is looking like the main healthcare problem with Omicron is a lack of supply rather than too much demand.
  11. Prevalence looks to have peaked in every age bracket other than under 20s (because schools) and in every English region other than the North East (no idea why) http://sonorouschocolate.com/covid19/index.php?title=CasesByAge
  12. Can’t see Florence back, in any capacity. Too big to sub, too small to headline. Topping Latitude or similar I reckon.
  13. Unless the Parliamentary Conservative Party magically turn into Covid Hawks and elect a replacement accordingly I don’t think that’s a realistic prospect. He won’t resign from this flat stuff, and even if he did he’d be far more likely to be replaced by Liz Truss or Rish the Dish, neither of whom advocate further restrictions.
  14. It looks to be that way- date reported (which is the headline figure each day) is way patchier than dates of recorded deaths and that’s probably exacerbated by Christmas and New Years. https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/deaths
  15. Agreed. If this isn’t off topic I don’t know what is.
  16. Covid Hospital Bed occupancy is actually down in London today. Obviously only one day, and the rest of the country is likely to keep increasing for a bit, but it’s a positive sign this could be ridden out.
  17. It’s just an interview with a booker really about how she goes about her work. Interesting enough but in the past tense rather than forward looking beyond an oblique reference to having artists locked down for next year, not dissimilar to what the Eavii would say. As to who’s playing the Gelredome, no idea. Editors? Or is that just Belgium?
  18. Annual Leave (Wed-Mon) has been approved. Solid plan. I hate WFH usually but will employ this tactic I reckon.
  19. I mean on current evidence it’s taken a year to re-record and promote 2 albums with no tour distractions. It’s not just that, zero indications of playing live doesn’t help matters either.
  20. Still reckon Kendrick’s more likely then Taylor (perhaps waiting to announce stuff off the back of the Superb Owl?). Assuming Taylor’s re-recording until there’s evidence to contrary. Agree most likely solution if Ken isn’t there is Dua gets the bump up.
  21. I dunno, seeing as it really takes place in Pi-lton rather than Glastaunbury Itself I think it’s pretty apt.
  22. Plenty of room on the hundred train. Get on board. 100%.
  23. Ground was so hard at Latitude this year I bent about 6 pegs out of use and completely bollocksed my flag stakes up. Bought a mallet as soon as I got home so it doesn’t happen again.
  24. If it’s a conference at 5 it’ll be grand. It’s the 8 o’clock “messages to the nation” you’ve got to worry about. Office wise I’m one of 4 people in. In an office of 200.
