First time back since 2019, so excited. We managed to get tickets for our group, two other groups we were trying to help failed.

So who are likely to be the other headliners. Would Pet Shop Boys be unlikely now we already have an act from the 80s? I would like Pet Shop Boys, Suede and Crowded House from the Isle of Wight festival. The National would also be great, are they a possibility (I see them mentioned as a possible headliner on the other stage at Glastonbury) ?

I’m really frustrated by this, had everything in place for tonight and Sunday. This is very badly done ☹️

Got free tickets for the Saturday and due to already having plans during the day, the first band we saw was the Gabriels (wonderful). Everything sounded great this evening . Really impressed with Raye and lots of people (including us) dancing along to Jungle.

Agree, I think it was the worse headlining performance I have ever seen

Really enjoyed the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and plenty of other good sets during the day and so pleased we came. Was shocked by the Strokes though, the vocals sounded terrible. I have never heard people in the crowd booing before and so many people left early (us included). Saw the Strokes when they toured their second album and was looking forward to seeing them tonight, I didn’t expect that.

We missed out on tickets and so went to the Isle of Wight festival instead. Had a lovely weekend and now too tired to do another festival this weekend anyway, so that feels like a result. I haven’t managed to get tickets since 2019, normally just keep myself busy over the weekend. This weekend I will enjoy my sofa and clean toilets and no queues 👍

Had a brilliant time and spent the festival in great company (my family and a fab friend). Feel very lucky we had wonderful weather. I saw so many brilliant sets - my personal highlights included Pulp, Blondie, Robbie Williams, the Reytons, the Lottery Winners, Oh My God it’s the Church and secret sets from James Bray and Germein. Dan Marks has informed me he particularly enjoyed Scouting for Girls 😜 It was my first Isle of Wright festival, but would definitely go again 😊

Plastic Mermaids sound interesting. One of my daughters is really looking forward to Lovejoy. Who are the smaller bands and artists you are looking forward to?

Last year, I thought The Heavy Heavy is really good at the festival and weren’t a band I knew. What bands have you discovered?

Thanks, good to know. Will probably end up missing Human League which is a shame, but really looking forward to seeing Pulp again and will want to hang around for the encore 👍
