  1. Mate the one from NYE was 9pm - 6.10am - "all the hits for one night only!" Managed the whole thing although you get used to dancing on the sofa too much 😂
  2. There's time for that yet. Ringo and McCartney rolling on stage in their peen socks. It's what the people want.
  3. 100% with you on this! 6 hours from Sean Johnston, even on the Thursday night, would be special. How great were the AFLOS Emergency Broadcasts throughout the past couple of years? Will be seeking out some downtempo acid house and similar this year where I can!
  4. Travelling from Ireland, staying at WV (2-man scout tent) saves us another bag on the flight/coach. It's the only festival we ever 'glamp', if you can call a scout tent glamping!
  5. Agreed on Other Stage comments here. It's the only stage without a character or 'feel' of it's own - unless you count A Little Bit shit as character or feel.

    SE Corner Tactics.

Just to add, we watched The Cure on Pyramid in 2019 and on the way back heard Squarepusher starting his set in The Glade, stayed for the whole heap and it was glorious - there were also other options up at Stonebridge (STeam Down vs Sons of Kemet I think) so SE Corner isn't the only option for late night maneuvers!

    SE Corner Tactics.

In 2019 I did a solo mission around SE Corner which worked out really well. Met a random dude at Pennard Hill and had a can, watched a group of people breaking in (one guy peeled off across the grass, security ran after him and four others ran down the hill in the direction of the Stone Circle), then we went off to the SE Corner. Just wandered about and took in a few stages, then the other guy went back to his tent. Remember seeing Banco de Gaia somewhere. Ended my night at Zinc then Subfocus in the Gas Tower, and watched the sun come up at the Stone Circle on my way back to WV. Determined to get my partner to do an all nighter at least once this time but we aren't in our 20s or even 30s anymore - but the rave genes are strong and muscle memory kicks in after a while. No drugs these days either, but a bag of cider definitely helps!
  8. How can you have railway tracks and no monorail?! Terrible festival, wont be back.

You really have to hit it at the right time - which in most cases is about an hour earlier than the thing you want to see starts at. Love Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club but we haven't got near the place since 2016 - it's always totally rammed.
  10. LOL. I am everyone on this Petition, and so is my wife!
  11. From FoA Facebook: Wonder does this mean The Flying Machine won't be at Worthy View this year, or if they have another one on site?
  12. Gorecki is just beautiful. They closed the Body & Soul stage at Electric Picnic in Ireland a few years ago. Absolutley stunning, making a point of seeing them again.

    Glastocam!

Really optimistic Ice Cream Vans. Fair play to 'em.
  14. If everyone at Glastonbury jumps up into the air at the same time a cloud forms upon landing. This is why pogo sticks are banned aside from the Circus. Don't bother fact checking this, it's definitely a real thing that happens.
  15. All about getting the most out of the festival.
  16. Hull post-punkers bdrmm said yesterday that they have a HUGE announcement coming today. Could be an album I guess, but if they played I'd maybe have them on Park or William's Green?
  17. Belfast International Airport Baggage Scan: "What's this?" "It's a Lenor bottle mate." "I can see that. Why are you bringing it?" "It's for pishing in." "Is it, aye? Well you may fuck that out of that bag or you'll be getting on no fucking plane."
  18. This will be my first year of festivals without tobacco. Have a Vaporesso GX-One that I've found holds a decent charge so that will be my plan for this festival season - going to buy another of the same model and use our trusty Anker to recharge the other as required.
  19. Not quite in the same category but I was once at a festival where The Killers were headlining. They aren't really for us so we came back to our tent for late night supplies and the Killers fans in Killers t-shirts were sat round their tent next to ours singing along to a Killers CD.
  20. Ordered some merino hiking socks to be tested in the run up to the festival - perhaps my days of double socking (that's 10 pairs of socks in the luggage, plus day afters) are over.
  21. Same here - actually saw LCD Soundsystem and New Order twice that year.
  22. My biggest regret is not going to Glastonbury sooner than I did.
  23. Got the Bandcamp email this morning (and about 20 others!), will give it the once over later. That app is far too handy for beat purchases.
