  1. That's a surprise re: Jeff Mills not playing Glastonbury very often, thought he would have appeared much more than that. I'll be seeing JM in September at Electric Picnic in Ireland, on their new Terminus stage, which is about the size of JPT and built from shipping containers with a tent roof on it.
  2. Thanks fella - but I found it last night! For a while yesterday afternoon I thought it had maybe bounced out of my pocket at James/Happy Mondays in Dublin last December (haven't had to look for it since), but it turned up, er, in my car. That's one less thing to worry about.
  3. Same! I actually saw both New Order and LCD Soundsystem twice that year, at Glastonbury and Electric Picnic. New Order were better at EP, with LCD being better at Glastonbury. I'd danced myself into a trench during New Order at The Other Stage, found it difficult to move after about 10 mins!
  4. Yeah, absolutely ripping the bag out of it. We're all sorted, but cheers for the suggestion! Could be an option in future.
  5. Well, having secured tickets in the resale we went straight to EasyJet to book the usual Wednesday 8.30am-ish flight, with Monday afternoon return. £808. You can get to America for that ffs. So, we've opted to fly out on the Tuesday, stay overnight in Bristol on both the Tuesday and Monday nights. Can't remember the Tuesday time but it's in the afternoon anyway. Just need to get dropped off by taxi at WV, only thing left to organise. We've bought a WV Car Parking Pass so hopefully that allows a taxi through the checkpoints.
  6. Possibly a reach here, but with Primal Scream touring the anniversary of Screamadelica this year, and it being the first festival since his passing, what would chances be for some kind of Andrew Weatherall tribute across the festival? Not sure that he was a regular at Glastonbury, not since I've been going anyway. A Sean Johnston 6 hour ALFOS set somewhere dark and dingy would be unmissable for this punter.
  7. I have just within the last hour realised that I can't find my driving licence, which I'll be using as ID to fly from Belfast - Bristol for Glastonbury as I don't have a passport. Better finding that out now than in June. In related news, I have begun the application process for an Irish passport.
  8. The very last gig we attended pre-pandemic was Beak> at the Button Factory in Dublin, back in February 2020. My partner got speaking to them at their merch stand after the (brilliant) show, and Billy told said that they were playing Glastonbury that year, on the Park Stage. Maybe they will be rebooked, maybe they were taking the piss, guess we'll find out soon!
  9. BRISTOL, 2019 - Anchor Road, 13.30pm (Opposite City of Bristol College, Postcode BS1 5UA) Was the same for us for in 2017 & 2016 too.
  10. Ah well, just occurred to me this morning, had a look on their website's Tour Date section and nothing there until September. Probably far too much to hope for a repeat on 2016's Other Stage double connector of New Order and LCD Soundsystem.
  11. Chances for New Order? They are touring with Pet Shop Boys this Autumn, PSB already on the billing.

    Glastocam!

I live in rural N Ireland - it's that time of year. A challenging walk of an evening. Character building!

Have to say the climb from Pennard up to WV caught me by surprise on my first visit!

    Pre-erected

For me (I'll be 45 when Glastonbury rolls around), Glastonbury is the only festival I opt for pre-erected camping. It's more to do with luggage on the airplane than anything else. I'm at 4 festivals this year, the other three in Ireland. Two of those are relatively small, with Electric Picnic's capacity increased to 70,000 this year for the first time. At Electric Picnic, we camp in the BYEco site, where everyone is expected to recycle all waste in bins provided. It's amazing to leave the site on the Monday morning with it still in the same state as you arrived on the Thursday!
  15. Alright there fella! I now live in a world where I have to have tabs open on my work PC for both Boards and eFestivals. It's been a while 😂

    Pre-erected

Cheers for this! Only thing is I'm passportless at the moment - I can use my NI Driving Licence to head across on the plane from Belfast to England, but I don't fancy my chances trying to get an Irish passport before June. It's something I have to do anyway so might as well try.

The 2-man Scout Tents at WV have more room in them than the 3-man tent we lug about for festivals!

    Pre-erected

Busy morning yesterday, x2 festival tickets and x1 2-person Scout Tent later and we're back to 2019 levels of joy! Last thing we have to organise now is getting from Bristol Airport to WV on the Wednesday morning. We went to book our flights from Belfast - Bristol yesterday - £808 was a little extortionate we felt. We're going to stay over in Bristol on the Tuesday evening before and the Monday evening after, saving the guts of £600. 5th time at WV, looking forward to it. We were right in the back row last time, hopefully a little closer to the arena gate this outing!
  19. Hello fellow enthusiasts. First time I've been round these parts after a massive blank in the 2019 General Sales. Couldn't face it. Pleased to announce that my partner got through on Sunday morning and we're heading back over to That Glastonbury. Have I missed any key Aphex Twin rumourmongering...? Hope you're all keeping well x
  20. Morning. x2 in the resale yesterday morning having been close in the Coach Sale. Absolutely buzzing!
