  1. Heaps and heaps of people were turning away from Wet Leg you could have half as many people as wet leg bothering to go and it would still be very very busy
  2. If your trying to suggest Courteeners aren't wildly popular despite the age of their records with the school leavers crowd your clearly living under a rock they are complete crap but they are just as popular as Gerry
  3. As i said before - they got a slap on the wrist for wet leg so might see sense. not will - but might and yes we did say the same about wet leg Was like that at a 2022 WHP too in the 3rd room!
  4. Not sure mate after Gerry got the spot - very similar acts with a northern demographic
  5. It looks like opening headliners aren't necessarily happening. I wouldn't count on it by any means The poster doesn't say 'more TBA' on main stage like sunday does - although currently they both have 9 acts (with sunday also saying more tba) so who knows eh If a big name was being added i'd be shocked if they weren't suggesting it etc
  6. Faithless aren't nearly the size of Pulp and sure insomnia is well known - but put them at a fri/sat/sun proper slot time with decent clashes and it wouldn't be busy.
  7. Yungblud has a full supporting bill though? Fred could have have easily done more nights if he wanted lol
  8. Both played it as a last blast - with EE eventually convincing Elton to play and Macca deciding to come back Stevie Nicks is a few years off doing that
  9. Fred did 50k at Ally Pally in seconds, Lana did 55k at BST last year in a few hours and their day is sold out Blink and Liam's days aren't sold out - i'm not saying they aren't bigger acts, they definitely are... but your MK Bowl argument is completely ridiculous!! Nobody gives a sh*t about the sodding MK Bowl - a venue used about 3 times a year if that πŸ˜‚
  10. I don't think me or Muppetmark disagree he could do the second headliner slot - more that the MK Bowl argument was completely ridiculous
  11. its been about 10 years since he did a uk show the poster said so would probably do well off that alone

Shangri-La has small venues and is quite narrow vs the wide paths and fields of Block9. Common eventually just becomes a queue for Shangri La, Rumshack especially gets busy with people just queueing for shangri la outside
  13. as above ^ barry's team could easily want the same, although the council raised after Wet Leg and issue after the fest so perhaps EE is more likely to move him
  14. as Muppetmark said, what a stupid argument Guess its Chase & Status and Yungblud headlining next year? Forget the 3rd headliner - these are MK Bowl acts! Its not even sold out yet and is Β£50 a pop ffs - hardly the price of a massive headliner ----------- Yungblud, Biffy and Courteeners is weak vs Gerry, comeback Catfish and Lana (or Fred - who is the main headliner anyway) If you upgrade Courteeners to someone decent then we can talk
  15. He could easily be on a larger stage - or park later in the day Who knows, maybe they will see sense and it will get moved

Sorry! Getting confused between two very similar conversations on two different thread - have been for a few messages. IICON would be fine but i agree, i reckon its Arcadia
  17. These would both be quite weak vs this year Those second headliner trios are very weak, esp northernangel's
  18. I don't think your getting an act as big as Catfish any idea on capacity?

How is this comparable πŸ˜‚ Mala is a completely different act I wasn't around at that point but Aphex Twin was kept secret well from what i heard - and is smaller, less accessible than Fred Again. I think your underestimating his draw - he is literally headlining every fest he plays at included 100k at Reading and Leeds each.

    NO FRED AGAIN

Its hardly enclosed - people would easily topple the barriers etc The Temple is actually enclosed properly and seriously struggled
  21. Blackpool Boulevard is his best tune i reckon (not sure how much was him / how much was Anish Kumar) Kinda irrelevant to listen to an artist your excited's fors album because you don't have a certain music streaming service? just listen to it using the free version / another streaming service lol. i'm sure its on youtube

Temple was a disaster last year - they won't try that again i think IICON doesn't suit booking policy wise
  23. This is mad They are britpop Oasis, Blur and Pulp are still popular - sure not as much as say Dua Lipa or a newer older act like Coldplay but still popular. Just look at the success of Truck / Y Not / Kendal etc
  24. Chase & Status, Raye and .... oh yeah - the biggest act in the world πŸ˜‚
