Yeah insane this - thought exactly the same I didn't watch it all but you skip to one more time coming in after 1h20 of IDs and nobody could care less ๐Ÿ˜‚ i'd be going taps aff
  3. saved the festival ๐Ÿ˜‚
  4. Return of Genosys too (may have been said, checked a few replies then skipped a few pages!) Going to be at least after balance window surely
  5. wouldn't really say it effects it - just shows shes touring into the winter which is hardly surprising doing this then stadium dates a few days after sounds about right timing wise

This would also be against Disclosure too He needs to come and do Holo - but obviously thats never happening sadly!
  8. '5%' of school leavers which is about 30-40% of the reading audience They are an act that are popular with the reading audience whether its wildly for you it seems not, but i'd bet if they played there would be heaps of 16-20 year olds on their mates shoulders with smoke bombs going off for the big songs just like at any of their other uk shows!
  9. Not sure what festival you go to mate No way does less than 5% of the festival's audience know who one of the largest indie bands in the country are ?? Someone please back me up on this one - almost everyone who is going for LG / Gerry / Catfish will also know courteeners ๐Ÿ˜‚

    Which mobile network?

Lebara is cheap, works in EU with free roaming and worked perfectly for me the last 2 fests. you'd be mad to go with anyone else
  11. Depends what you call wildly They are one of the more popular indie acts - something which is a considerable amount of both the lineup and the uk festival scene in general. Nobody is saying they are madly popular worldwide like AM or Killers but they are only one step below your sam fender, Foals etc on lineups really

Not sure he they meant what was good - meant where to avoid which is bad with phones which is generally nowhere @Grinding aftertaste Some places are worse for it than others, but its generally very good at glasto vs almost every other festival / club in the UK. Its specific acts you need to avoid more than anything, for instance on Park Peggy Gou will be phone city no doubt but then say Orbital will be fine
  13. I'm saying they are very much in the same group as Two Door, Wombats, Kooks etc - the acts that headline / get big slots at superstruct festivals every summer. I wouldn't worry much about tiktok followers etc - some acts just aren't really on it much as their management hasn't clocked on yet etc I don't think they would sell many tickets but its all about having a varied lineup which is strong enough across the weekend to sell weekend tickets, nobody is buying a ticket for Gerry either really but when you have him and LG together + others then its more of a pull. Very few acts sell a significant amount of tickets off their name solely (which is why they were mad to put Lana and Fred on the same day, two hard to see acts that have crazy fanbases!) I will concede though they are probably more likely for 3rd down - but the idea Courteeners or even Gerry don't have school leaver fans is crazy. Look at the videos of the crowd when they are playing at TRNSMT for instance!!
  14. After 1 spare for Sunday if anyone ends up with an extra ๐Ÿ™‚ one of our lots missed out!
  15. its celebrating their selftitled album, not the band itself
  16. I was jokingly saying i have no mates Look at the crowd of a courteeners gig and the countless times they do the school leavers indie fests / reading with big crowds lol They are big with the same crowd that give TDCC, wombats, LG etc a big crowd everytime they play
  17. Anyway to distract from the Yungblud / Gerry / Courteeners face off of who is the crappest act to make it big (above Birmingham) Wonder how ticket sales are doing? When the lineup came out i felt it was going to sell out very quickly - since the Fred / Lana reading day going there doesn't seem to have been much movement
  18. Anecdotal evidence? A few mates? You think i have mates sat on here all day ๐Ÿ˜‚ my lot don't really like courteeners (as i said they are quite crap) - i'd say they definitely prefer Gerry (also quite crap). Courteeners are popular among people, Not Nineteen Forever is obviously a step below Mr Brightside and probably at an equal level to something like I Bet That You Look Good on the Dancefloor in the uk when it comes to that kind of indie. Thats why they headline all the superstruct fests on the regular, do huge park shows up north etc. If your nieces and nephew haven't heard of them - thats fair enough, but i doubt they know who Gerry Cinnamon is either. Seem very likely to just not like indie in general. Great anecdotal evidence none the less -------- Victorious the most southerly festival in the country probably Gerry is a tad bigger i'll admit but there isn't much in it - and he is definitely a bit bigger down south They headline all the same festivals up north and do similar size shows beyond Birmingham Courteeners would be a crap second headliner but its inevitable eventually and would do just find under the biggest headliner of 2025
  19. Heaps and heaps of people were turning away from Wet Leg you could have half as many people as wet leg bothering to go and it would still be very very busy
  20. If your trying to suggest Courteeners aren't wildly popular despite the age of their records with the school leavers crowd your clearly living under a rock they are complete crap but they are just as popular as Gerry
  21. As i said before - they got a slap on the wrist for wet leg so might see sense. not will - but might and yes we did say the same about wet leg Was like that at a 2022 WHP too in the 3rd room!
  22. Not sure mate after Gerry got the spot - very similar acts with a northern demographic
  23. It looks like opening headliners aren't necessarily happening. I wouldn't count on it by any means The poster doesn't say 'more TBA' on main stage like sunday does - although currently they both have 9 acts (with sunday also saying more tba) so who knows eh If a big name was being added i'd be shocked if they weren't suggesting it etc
  24. Faithless aren't nearly the size of Pulp and sure insomnia is well known - but put them at a fri/sat/sun proper slot time with decent clashes and it wouldn't be busy.
  25. Yungblud has a full supporting bill though? Fred could have have easily done more nights if he wanted lol
