No idea if this is aimed at me but plenty of people do care and are not going to see them due to this despite liking them - myself included (well i wouldn't pay £110 but would definitely for a normal price) I didn't even know about Ezra Koenig until just now - its clearly less widely known or people would be talking about it here , you'd definitely see at least one mention. Classic whataboutism though... I can't even seem to figure out the full story from a quick google, would be interested if someone can explain as theres a few reddit posts and poorly written articles but nothing apparent of much substance.

Some people clearly have more money than sense - and whatever sense is left over isn't enough to care. grim
-
I don't think they meant for free - just to take a smaller slot as a secret set which is paid a fair bit less than Pyramid Sub / Other Headliner (which is probably around where they are now)

Win trying to raise his bail money 😂
-
quite a cool idea this!
-
Festivals every year still manage to get mega stacked lineups - Reading early 00s looks insane for instance because loads of the acts on like the 4th stage are headliners now The struggle really is being so multi genre - its happened in the USA too. If your covering pop, rap and rock then there's a low chance of someone liking all 3/4 headliners
-
No promoter wants to be the first to book them. They could definitely do APE for example, but it seems they aren't interested in booking them at present. They are doing big shows abroad still - a market that is really not that different to the UK (just with promoters who don't seem to care)
-
If they were going to end it, that would have already been decided. It won't make a difference. If they were doing glasto it would already be agreed

The first paragraph is still the case However this is one of the UK's premier music festivals, not Q Club (other shite clubs are available) I think you misjudge how a lot of people react to fred again, i've caught him a few times and people will be doing all of the things you described for him AND all of the things described for Lana. Sure Fred Again has Rumble or whatever but he also has we've lost dancing, delilah etc. He makes whats branded 'emotional dance music' - heck he often closes with Billie (loving arms) where everyone ends up just hugging their mates (a phenomenon i've noticed multiple times when i've seen him).
-
It doesn't run every year anyway - they only bother if they have space left i think they can't fill with anything else (hence its often announced super late) mind you it would probably sell better than that irish finsbury park day lol

Going to be mega this currently listening to the 2017 glasto set at work 🙂 yet to see them, probably the act i'm most excited for this year!

Lana is a huge act, she's clearly worth taking the risk and thats why Coachella + others have all booked her
-
Fabric takeover for Silver Hayes on the Sunday! Not sure if its just one stage or the whole area - no doubt will be bringing a great lineup
-
Closing DJs makes far more sense Build the energy up and then unleash it one go at the end There's a reason why Latitude / IOW / Victorious have closing djs sometimes, its a well proven formula!
-
Glasto hardly ever has album in full sets + that crystal palace show is quite one-off they always play a good amount of silent alarm anyway
-
Not sure this is it honestly Unless they literally can't afford to just cover artist's tour costs e.g. trucks, planes, dancers etc They've never paid even close to the full fee so i don't really see why it would be make or break. maybe knocks a few more people off the list thats willing

There's always been a pattern regarding some things e.g. resale dates, sale dates, map drops double area drops in mid April is very unlikely - hence why i said it
-
Would seriously consider chancing it as the box office - although fair play! Guessing you've got a mate's to stay at or something in Leeds and theres a few of you on the coach?
-
In late may perhaps when its 2-3 a week - not at the start of April!
-
The prices for groceries on deliveroo etc is so expensive your probably better off just going to the co-op onsite unless your after something specific!
-
If i see a tent on fire - i'll know where your camping!
-
The onsite co-op is a good shout When i went in 2019 the prices were super reasonable considering its within the festival, reckon 4 packs would be around £7-8 for instance. Obviously a fair bit for tins but no more than you'd pay at most off licenses!
-
Any idea where? I think someone said this elsewhere around a week ago, but no details on area

will be pretty chuffed if clashes work out and i can make it for a bit of she's so lovely!
