  1. 1975 are booked to be in luxembourg on the friday of the fest so theyre not in the running for anything i wouldnt say. its looking almost definitely to be 3 out of 4 of the ones we know. does appear to be a denial from banks but thats the first thing you would say if it was true, although i believe he is genuine the only major slot that nobody seems to have a clue about is saturday truth stage.
  2. It is written very matter of fact-ly the field will be shut down early AF on the sat if true as there is bugger all clashing with it either Ok capaldi is big but also hated by just as many

    £6 a can is £6.50 a pint i reckon more importantly - craft!!!!!!!!
  6. 1975 and florence not available due to touring commitments so its sir david of grohl or sir jarvis to the rescue if the arctic numpties cant do it
  7. No evidence for this but surely obvious first reserves include florence and 1975
  8. Get jarvis on the blower
  9. Just to say there isnt anything secret set wise anywhere else that isnt on this thread, as far as im aware. the main 3 tbas on woodsies and park and the most likely candidates are certainly here Stuff like who is doing the essential mix and a greenpeace tba might be in here too but other than that there is not a huge amount to know, i dont think. Bbc intro arent confirmed and the rumours for those are as above No one seems to know the truth stage tba or the transgressive ones for rabbit hole
  10. Its in the other place (dis cord) the users that sorted this kind of thing on efests no longer post here.

  13. Forgot about these muthaflippers! Better not be back!
  14. Come one come all 🙂 lovely group
  15. Def gonna try to be at both these but they’ll be mobbed!
  16. PL thurs would be a good one - i can call into helena on my way on to optimo too. if theres a whatsapp group kicking about i’d like to join if anyone would dm me it 🙂
  17. Clashfinder will be heavily skewed towards festival veterans as opposed to first or second timers so its not surprising to see acts you’d expect to get a healthy crowd of young first timers to not doing well on the clashfinder maneskin and wizkid will do fine in reality
  18. Hozier (sat) is the least confident of the 3. the other 2 are fairly close to nailed on

Brooklyn pilsner is £4.65 at the brudenell in leeds. Cask is under £4 still most of the time. Having said thats its a massive outlier and you will pay £6 a pint in the city centre most places. £6.50 a pint is the amount im expecting to see at the festival there or there abouts and unfortunately thats fairly bog standard these days for a major city centre.
  20. If they were doing that (watering down the tba expectations) though they could just sack off the acts being billed as TBA’s in the first place unless the act themselves is desperate to be a tba for their own reasons its very odd to have hozier, blossoms w / rick and pretenders as TBA’s. They would each get a good crowd but nothing remotely dangerous. End of the day the rumour mill keeps people talking about the festival and ensures at least a few surprises for the less engaged. There will still be people in reality who dont know foos are churnups probably.
  21. As previous poster said with the changes at head office, i doubt see are doing much of the printing or mailing of the tickets. The printing will surely be done by a third party and the mailing probably by agency staff and / or by a third party. Their core business is selling 98% etickets via a website and mobile app. Its not printing and posting physical tickets much anymore. Theres a (big) fee needed when you use third parties etc. There should be a financial incentive to change to digital tickets is what i’m saying. However the festival will likely resist it for as long as possible as its a fairly large operational change at their end. Tickets not going missing and reduction of transaction fees from the ridiculous £9.75 (will be over a tenner by next year) is great for punters. Digital tickets reduces that to say £2.75 and the festival can grab an extra £7 per order (say add an average of £3 per ticket to the ticket price) without the price even really going up. £3 on 170k is half a mil
  22. Could still happen in theory. they’d need a new pass out system as well as peoples phones may be dead by the sunday for example. i think its time for digital tickets though. I use football tickets on apple wallet that do not have a forwarding option for example. The QR codes wouldnt have to go live till the morning of gates in theory and a moving QR code prevents people passing on screenshots. Photos also on there and ask ppl to provide ID if necessary. All doable.
  23. Pulp already confirmed for mexico in november so definitely not finishing end of this UK festival season, at least. perhaps we will see them next year instead
  24. I didnt think it would be all that busy for hot chip but have revised that theory now. a guaranteed good time, innit
  25. Agreed, Im shocked hot chip have so much more than kelis. However it may be clashfinder demographic vs reality
