2011 was the stickiest mud for me - though a large factor in that was probably that I arrived incredibly tired. Suspect I would have turned up properly unprepared for 97 or 98, my first was 05 and I was properly unprepared for that but it dried up pretty quick (I was in runners until Saturday morning before I managed to buy a pair of wellies, probably hardly needed them at that point but my runners were knackered then!)

Yup, 34% of people have highlighted Chems, but their share of the top-100 acts playing at that (approx) time is ~21% - way more than are ever going to fit at Arcadia. There are 2k acts on the clashfinder and we only have stats for 100 of them. Clashfinder has 90+ stages, so many many other things on at the exact same time, plus many people just getting food or having a wander - and from the stats on Friday evening we only know about what's happening at 5 stages. Plus we know we all highlight multiple things at any given time. 20% of the festival won't fit into Arcadia, but I'm still able to look at it and decide for myself that Chems, Mel C, FBS and Badly Drawn Boy will all be busy as f**k. Adding both GnR spellings together, and then looking at their crowd portion (vs other Sat eve stuff in the top-100), they have 26% of the crowd (from 42% of CF selections) vs FBS who has 23% and LDR with 19%. So the biggest crowd that night will be at the Pyramid, but it might not look that way on tv & Mel C ends 25 minutes before FBS starts, but would you have any chance of still getting into the area at that time? So on the one hand I agree, the stats are a bit rubbish - but on the other I'm still spending way too much time looking at them 😄

Only act to make the top 100 on Avalon I think - that area will be very busy / I assume closed down (so not possible to do Lizzo > Mel C). Absolutely 35% of the festival won't be at FBS, but 20% might - and the Park probably can't cope with that - so security will be running straight from setting up barriers at Mel C up to the Park.

Literally just been looking at this and trying to figure out what / where the hive is. I think you're right, that there is/was an installation near greenpeace that was called Hive or the Hive. Definitely can't look at crowd size, but business & spread across the site can be guessed at - just guessed though, I too will have 4/5 things highlighted at any one time 🙂 You can use it to do something like this (bearing in mind GnR double entry in the data, so I buggered that up when I did this): [old data too...]

All true - but Burna Boy from last year is actually a great example - if they did have a decent crowd they also are not in the top-100 CF stats from last years festival. So the exact same as Wizkid. Sudan Archives have been on the radio here a bit (mainly radio 6 probably), Lil Nas X is on before Elton so (clashfinder) people will have given them a bit more research [though many will still disappear for some food at that point].

I'm struggling too - what does 3bft mean? I think it means pretty much no rain on Wednesday, including overnight Tuesday, with several different acronym thingys roughly agreeing... Edit: Force 3: Gentle Breeze So the top chart is basically wind?

It's not too bad - mainly the pink highlights which on Friday has me like a yo-yo between Pyramid & WH, Saturday has a long run in Acoustic followed by a long run in Avalon, and Sunday is mainly Pyramid with a couple of acts at Woodsies. Interesting to see how much of anything else I get to!

From a DM chat. A few of the acts have had their names changed at some point, resulting in 2 listings in the stats. These include Yusuf, GnR & Fred. Do people reckon the % matching the current spelling is the correct info, or do we need to add the both %'s together? [third option, they're unrelated and we'll never know the correct figure for these acts] Fred currently on 37%, but plus an extra 14% and that'd make them 4th most popular act, between Foos & Blondie - so a very big crowd potentially GnR currently on 30%, plus their 2nd spelling bumps them up to 42%, still below Lizzo but looking more respectable Yusuf currently on 28%, and with both spellings makes them 39%, still a good bit below Blondie but seems a bit more likely

Disagree - I started last week and added marshmallows to rum (unknown spiced rum that was already in a plastic bottle 😄), pretty much dissolved in 1-2 days (I'm still shaking it but only because it keeps reforming at the bottom of the lucozade bottle). Rooted through the garage for other bits to add to it, so it's been topped up with the end of a bottle of Kahlua and some whiskey. No idea if Rum, Whiskey, Marshmallow & Kahlua constitutes an already existing cocktail? Either way I'll be topping it off with some strong coffee and hopefully it keeps me going on Wednesday assuming I arrive knackered. Dropped a pack of humbugs into some gin & vodka too - dissolved pretty much overnight. Also some chopped-up root ginger been sitting in whiskey (with the end of a bottle of Cointreau) for about a week - I guess that one does need some time. I'll strain the ginger out soon and add some lemons (& maybe more booze). I think the key ingredient will be continuous chewing of heartburn tablets...

Depends when you plan to sleep really - larger stages shut up shop and go quiet for the night, but they can start soundchecking early in the morning which might not be your thing if you've been out late-night. Very quiet near the pyramid as there's no real late-night stuff there either, nearer to Woodsies and there's San Remo & SH to think about.

My advice would be to check with your other half first 😄 - If it's 2025 do you have the next two years to try to pull it off (e.g. if you get in next year, is it okay for your stag to be over a year early / have two if ye get in the following year too!)? If your partner's fully into Glastonbury too, is her hen do likely to be Glastonbury too? Too many questions, sorry 🙂 - but ye can all be trying for each other, so more chances if so. Ignoring all my questions my main advise would be to try to get people to see this as helping you to organise your wedding - share the reg details of the 3x6 groups and have as many people trying to make it happen for you as possible.
