Can anyone recall with Shelter whether having volunteered for them the year before gives you a better chance to do so again?

Agree it did feel subdued to start with but in some respects more as a consequence of the Queen's passing announced a few hours before. Started with listening to a Louie Armstrong song - Just a Closer Walk with Thee. Wasn't until about half way through that we all warmed up and those sitting were up and dancing. Regina was magnificent coming up to the smaller centre stage by herself and then singing in the crowd.

Slept to 7.49 am so better then normal is about 6 pm. Nearby showers woke me up not sun or heat. I am converted.

Yes I heard that on training and it’s in the guide but are they going to refuse to take anything more even if it’s a fold up small trolley to help at the other end.

Anyone know how strict the Avalon coaches are for Shelter volunteers in terms of luggage? Guide says 2 pieces of luggage. Not planning to take masses but it adds up to more. I could strap various items together but also have a fold up trolley.

Had an email from Shelter yesterday confirming training dates to be issued soon. Still in discussion with Avalon whether any further spaces will be opened up.

Received email from Shelter confirming that they anticipate opening a link a week before payment so roughly from the 7th through to 15th March.

Shelter just emailed me - in response to me emailing them - to confirm that they will provide an update "in the next week or so" re rollover for 2022. Cross fingers.
