  1. Nice words EFC1996, I've struggled with my mental health the last year or so too. Throughout that time, I've had the added pressure of begging for a miraculous recovery to come in time for me to get to my beloved Glastonbury festival yet again. Had everything crossed but sadly the miracle didn't come, but yes I've improved a lot over the last couple of months. There's always next year. Have a great festival to all that are going and always party like it's the last x
  2. Well done to all involved and have a great festival Nige x
  3. Not sure which year, maybe 2010. Whole load of tyres apparently...and people worry about the festival mucking up the ecosystem.
  4. Not that scrapyard again surely
  5. Amen to that, end of thread!
  6. Yea, jeans are a big nono at festivals, unless you want chaffing pretty much everywhere whatever the weather.
  7. on a different subject, I love Muddy Lane, something about it. Some great times and memories there.
  8. Yea not bad, a grower after listening a few times, very pleasant.

    Drum n Base

Yep Carl Cox, at the Glade I think....doubt it'll be that dark but dnb it will be.
  10. Yea but there's always some areas where no boot, trainer or flipflop should go, and that's the thick deep mud. It's either being sucked off with no laces or getting stuck permanently with laces, until help arrives and then you're on YouTube for eternity.
  11. Yea but its all about the navigating your immediate surrounding area at a muddy glasto. Any boots without laces run the risk of being sucked off 😉 but if it means avoiding laces then I'd risk that.
  12. The best boot footwear I've worn at festivals for muddy conditions are rigger boots. Comfy, non-sweaty, no laces, easy on/off. About £25 at shoezone.
  13. depends where your fingers have been
  14. Well done, patience of an angel, have a great time.
  15. Does that mean 17 on the Saturday if the low hangs about but if the high wins then it could ge 27?

    “Getting in”

From experience this is exactly how it is. Plus you'll have a staff camping area or you can also obviously camp wherever you like.
  17. Yea good luck prior to leaving home but must say odds are on that you'll get in after an hour or so at the box office dicking about with ID etc. You'll be laughing about all this in 2 weeks time! Have a great festival.
  18. Let's hope we don't get any great German forecasts, all got a bit steamy last time.
  19. Yep me too, I'd definitely still be heading to the fest ticketless if I found myself in the same situation. Think you've got your answer there OP.
  20. Ok. Must admit I'm surprised there isn't an official statement on the fest site about loss of tickets. Or is it a secret thing to try and minimise the losses and ultimately the hassle.
  21. That's not a bad shout actually. Surely you won't be the only punter to have lost your ticket??
  22. Probably a silly question but is Emily tweetable? I don't use twitter so apologies if this is a silly and laughable suggestion.
  23. No. It can he a real struggle for all ages on a wet muddy year. Some areas even become inpassable due to thick, deep sucking mud.
  24. I'd take any temps between 18 and 25 at the festival. Even if its not sunny you can add a couple of degrees to those and if it is sunny, add 5 or 6. Shade temps too. Anything above 25 and it all becomes a bit like a simmering volcano.
