    John Peel Stage 2022

    Looking top class
  2. The ones I've had in the past no ID was required, but things may have changed recently. No doubt someone will be along shortly to confirm. Have a great festival!
  3. As prefest weather has been it's been worse, at least the temps are decent. A few glimmers of sunshine and slight breeze and I'd say that forecast isn't much to panic about.
  4. And doesn't what 3 words work on a 3x3m area? So if you went to meet your mate at pipeline.hacksaw.adventure would they be covered in bruises, handcuffed and being carted off the pyramid stage by security?
  5. Yep noticed that bit, never the best thing to do!
  6. Oh yes the much loved Stuart Security! Are they even still involved with the festival these days?

    Disco!

Yea not sure which ones what but it's the second tent down from the Spike bar. Red and blue stripes I think usually.
  8. Cheers Wooderson, yep I remember that well, can laugh about it nowadays! I've dragged three kids through the festival dust and mud every year since then. I'll be back I'm sure, big part of my life and I'm far too young to hang up my Glasto boots yet. But for this year I'll be turning up the telly and the JBL710's in the back garden and getting several boxes of Westons cider in!
  9. Yes definitely Kizzie, and thanks I'm sure I will. My daughters still going with her friends family so she'll be flying the flag for me this time. Hopefully not obstructing anyone's view!
  10. Thanks so much for the kind words. It's all a bit strange. I've had some health issues over the past few months and part of that has caused me some concern about going this year. Believe me, securing a ticket, then cancelling it and all the plans that we all make just a couple of weeks ago has been weird to say the least. I just hope I'll want to go back there next year 🤞 Right, iplayer here we go!
  11. For a couple of reasons I've finally been forced to throw the towel in this year. Been to every one since 1989 so I'm gutted but also a bit confused about it all. Where does a hardcore Glasto fan find all the action when they're unable to be onsite? Beeb? YouTube? Iplayer? Any recommendations on upcoming TV/online stuff? or just hide in the shed crying for a week?

    Disco!

That tent right opposite the Glade seems to have all types of music on. I've been in there frantically disco dancing before but could've been to a Smiths tribute DJ.
  13. One of the best things I've ever taken to the festival is one of those brolly hats. Kind of a mini umbrella that attaches around your head with elastic. Great for rain, great for sun and just about wide enough coverage to roll a spliff in the dry.
  14. That looks to me like a typical Sunday evening at Reading.
  15. I think the worse case scenario would be you all go back home with the overage child rather than the child being made to go home on his own. The child isn't GFs responsibility, the rule is clear and there to read....but having said all that I doubt with carefully revised birthday blags the borderline aged child would get turned away.
  16. Going to festivals on your own, which I've done a few times, can make it the best place in the world or the loneliest. But yea, just let things flow and make a point of talking to loads of randoms at every opportunity and you'll have a great time. New friends, great memories.
  17. mmm, bit of a strange one that and seems to be no fault of SEEs so don't hold up much hope if I was you. Maybe she should have checked it had been paid for??
  18. and the more hands they go through the more expensive they become, at £750 I'd snap them up. Not because they're hospitality tickets but just tickets to get in.
  19. Mine told me to park it and dedicate only 5mins daily to think about it. Actually I don't even know what "it" is anymore so it can't of existed in reality, whatever it was.
  20. dizzymoo must have dreamt that

    Fun after dark

Yea agree with these, also right opposite the Glade literally 50yards away is the Spike Bar. Stunning little venue, built in amongst the trees and branches, just look for the biggest disco ball in the world. I saw Mik Artistik here last time followed by some thumping d&b, just perfect.
  22. Agree, the 3ms ones are simple but excellent.
  23. I'm 52, still getting my daily dose of metal and also drum and bass, looking forward to next month! Let's Ave It!!
  24. I got a green hoodie for myself and two tshirts for my kids in 2019. Loads of people asked me about it.
  25. Yea, can't beat a Mik show, always at his best and the most down to earth friendly bloke you could meet. Saw him a couple of times in 2019, the Spike Bar gig had an outstanding atmosphere, great stuff. Sweet Leaf of the North!
