  1. Exactly, I actually got two of these sparkly beasts from a local bootfair a few years back for a bargain price of £100 for the pair. Had a Google and they trade around £1200 each. Took one to 2019, gorilla glued/velcroed it to a shop mannequin revolving base, powered it up with two leisure batteries and Bob was your strutting Uncle Funkmaster! Sadly I've since sold them to a wedding reception company.
  2. Invest in a 5ft wide disco mirror ball that we powered up in the east cv fields. Could clearly see it from the stone circle!
  3. actually I've always wondered if there's a system in place for such losses. Is there a small team onsite with very long litter pickers or nets? If not I think I'm going to invest and charge £50 a callout!

    William of Walworth

Rip William As others have said, always informative and entertaining posts, here and the digitalspy forums. I could be wrong but didn't he do some voluntary work at the info points near the Pyramid in recent years?
  5. I loved their Glastos and my daughter loves them too, great band, great songs. CM seems like a thoroughly nice bloke too. Having said all that I wouldn't make a point of seeing them anywhere else. Hate or piss take?...dunno really but either way it's a bit childish. They're great at their job and that's what matters.

    Gate C

whether that's possible or not does seem a bit odd punters should have to divert to another gate much further away from where they are. I appreciate the golden Glasto rule is steer clear of crowds but PGC does seem very small nowadays in comparison to the huge amount of foot traffic that want/need to use it. Needs a rethink and an update imo.

Think I know the church you're on about, blue route on the corner of that little lane? Opposite a pond I think. Nice in the daytime, spooky at night.
  12. Wow, so pleased for Nigel. And well done Fatboyslim and anyone else involved to make it possible.
  13. Hopefully not. Strike me down with lightening but I'm not a big fan of his screaming at all. Dunno, just something about it never sounds quite right. And I'm someone who's seen them about 20 times.
  14. Yea good, was going to ask that.
  15. Maybe time to rename the Other to the Keith Stage.
  16. Nice, like it, pricey but worth it for guaranteed power throughout.
  17. That's what my Michael said but he questioned himself straight after he said it. If Michael isn't sure then none of us are, fact.
  18. The happiness and comfort of being happy and comfortable however you choose to spend your time while there. Its become a huge release valve for many many people over the years.
  19. Didn't they get told where to go a few years back when they asked for a ridiculous amount of money? Don't think they or their management quite understood.
  20. Not me, and it's hardly guaranteed at all.
  21. Adidas Superstars have always been my festival choice of footwear, very comfy tough trainers. Just make sure they're well worn in beforehand.

    BBC Coverage 2022

meanwhile on the coverage, just watched the whole of Turnstile, brilliant. Also just watched Amyl & the sniffers, outstanding. Honestly, if I'd been there this year and knew of these bands before I think I would have spent most the fest in the JP tent. Obviously popping around site to see Mik now and then! Also, Young Blood, wow!

    “Getting in”

Did it involve lots of cash and/or running?
