I think the Arctic Monkeys are alright but they have had a pretty easy ride most of their career. The initial "broke through on the internet" hype was apparently a calculated plan by their management and they've basically been coasting off that since.
-
Absolutely this, I'm probably more excited to see who the Park and West Holts headliners are to be honest.
-
Watching George Ezra on hootenanny made me ominously realise he's not played glasto yet on this album cycle.
-
Besides the Sault rumors it's all been a bit underwhelming so far but with the size of the festival it's going to be impossible to not find something I'm into.
-
Its hard to tell, they could maybe play the Sunday but it's a bit of a trek from Turkey.
-
I'm not sure about that, he subbed in 2002.
-
I like some of their stuff but it feels like Wolf Alice have been pushed as an up and coming band/future headliners for about 10 years now.
-
They're still way too big for the Park or John Peel I think, Spoon would be great there though.
-
I wouldn't take it as confirmation just yet, I think it's gotten to the point where acts are booking UK tours around Glastonbury in the hopes of getting booked.
-
They're playing Glasgow on the Saturday though, unless they're maybe doing some random secret set of new stuff like Radiohead did for king of limbs.
-
Jesus that font 😵
-
I would love to see a lot of these acts at Glastonbury.
-
Weren't they basically just remixes of his old songs though?
-
As popular as they are it would be strange to have essentially three acts who've not had a hit song between them in the last decade headline when Harry Styles and The Weeknd are right there.
-
Gabriels played the park this year I think, Biig Piig has been going for a while too. It seems like they've gone for a bunch of easy wins this time.
-
I think he's headlining the 2nd stage here, Lewis Capaldi aside it's not a bad first announcement compared to previous years.
-
A Nicolas Jaar or AAL set would be great too.
-
They've had incredible support acts recently, their cancelled Glasgow gig had Anderson Paak and Thundercat supporting.
-
He'll near definitely be there I think with a new album just out, I think he might end up headling West Holts.
-
Sault Stevie Nicks Roger Waters Yeah Yeah Yeahs Father John Misty
-
Sam Fender won't play 2 years in a row without a new album, I'm guessing Florence and the Machine.
-
I honestly think TBHC is their best album and new one isn't far behind. Their early stuff hasn't aged that well for me, it sounds like cartoon indie or something.
-
I guess no Mona Lisa's and Mad Hatters then (besides that shocking remix) which is a shame as I think it's his best song.
-
Him playing the Sunday essentially rules out the Weeknd too, unless he's headlining Friday instead of The Arctic Monkeys which ain't happening (although would be more preferable to be honest).
-
It's a little presumptuous but to me it's a pretty strong indication that they're playing Glastonbury especially the acts playing Dublin that week like the Weeknd and Blur (although they've said otherwise).
