  1. Has Starmer ever done anything you thought wasn't good?
  2. Yeah, the f**king chair brigade on the pyramid were quite frustrating during the lead up to Elton. Lots of folks 'reserving' their spot with blankets and chair getting irritated when people stepped on them or tried to squeeze past. Was very happy when the announcement went out.
  3. A cursory google suggests that Fleetwood Mac are quite possibly done! Stevie in the legends slot I guess is the best we can hope for.
  4. Is there anyone left who could pull off a hit-packed set of that magnitude? Only band that springs to mind is Fleetwood Mac... but without Christie and Lindsey are they even really Fleetwood Mac anymore? Also not sure there would be the sense of occasion which definitely elevated the whole shebang.
  5. I think it depends mainly on the vibe of the crowd and to a degree the act. I've done both and had good and bad experiences with either. Our group opted for back of the field and it was absolutely epic! The fact that we were surrounded by enthusiastic Elton fans had a lot to do with it. Nothing worse that being the only people dancing/having to complete with chit chatters!
  6. Prince coming on for a secret set after the Park had finished was also one!
  7. Same cost as a Brighton bar. I can live with that!
  8. All of the London outdoor shows seem to do this. All Points East last year had one draft bar which had a queue out the door then a ton of empty can bars (granted this was on Nick Cave day). I assume it's some kind of condition of being sponsored by Brew Dog or whoever it is!
  9. I really hope they've not gone the same way as many of the London festivals and have majority can bars!
  10. Long time reader of the weather thread, first time poster... you're all a bunch of maniacs.
  11. I don't think this is going to happen... but I'd f**king love it if it did.
  12. I really want to see the Last Dinner Party... but I also really want to hear Max Richter perform 'On the Nature of Daylight' which I'm fairly sure is first in the set assuming The Blue Notebook is being played in order. Is it mad to watch that one song and then peg it to Woodsies? What's the time between those stages early in the day with a swift pace?
  13. Ah, the milk truck! A splash of vodka, a drop of Kahlúa and you've got yourself a fine white russian for breakfast!
  14. They're either a lower tier headliner or a sub. Re why it didn't happen this year, who knows? If I was taking a guess, I'd say perhaps contracts for the other festivals and shows they've booked for.
  15. You'd think after the swamp was dealt with, sitting down would be fine.
  16. I think it was James who rechristened the Friday morning slot the 'A lot of disappointed casual attendees' slot.
  17. Can confirm from the video it gets a full outting! The "medley" is just ole Cat not really stopping between songs rather than shortening them into some kind of hideous, John Carpenter's 'The Thing' style mixture.
  18. ...anyone who wanted an end to the super camp tea-time slot has their wish ten fold 🤣
  19. Voice sounds mint and the setlist is great! 'I love my dog' will be heard on the Pyramid! Huzzah.
  20. Maybe it’ll be a misjudged ‘Album in full then Everlong at the end’ set 🫣
