Name and address didn't match debit card - should I worry?

One of our team booked using their debit card but left the 'primary booker' details on screen - so it will seem to be coming from John Smith's name and address but using Jane Doe's long debit card number and expiry date etc.

Whilst I already know you can use anyones debit card details if the full card details are entered, does it work if you mix it up like this? i.e. how stringent are the checks if for example the registered address and name of the card doesn't match those supplied? Or is it a case of "if the number is valid it'll go through"?

This is usually fine. For 2014 tickets someone bought our 5 tickets who wasn't even in that group and it was fine.

And they left on the details of one of the group members whilst using their own debit card number?

The card I used wasn't anyone's in the group and it all went through fine.  Just got my confirmation.

But did you put in their address and name with the card? Or was the lead bookers left in?

I think what UEF is asking is that the card was someone else's  (which we know is fine even if that person isn't even in the group) but that the name and address weren't changed from the lead bookers that is auto filled when you click on the enter card details page.

UEF I haven't a clue myself, maybe get whoever owns the card  to see if the money has been taken out of their account. If it has then surely it must be ok?

I didn't change a thing, just hit proceed.

It happened with both our orders this morning. *shrug*  Both orders are on the tracker.  If See have any questions now, they'll call or email and it's easily fixed.  A card got rejected which had a ripple effect.

Edit:  Assuming you have a screenshot of the confirmation screen, go to the SeeTickets order tracker and if it's there it's there. :)

Ah that's grand then I guess having the wrong name and address isn't an issue then, I thought they would contact you like you say but, you know yourself, when you don't really know it's not a good idea to speculate incase you give someone the wrong info so I didn't like to say.

Good to know that anyway incase we ever do the same another time. thanks
