  1. You can see a list of what is being streamed at https://www.bbc.co.uk/events/ec59hn/performances#all It looks like they are showing all Pyramid sets but starting around 2pm for the other stages and you'll be fine to see both Young Fathers and Fred Again at some point across the weekend, but might just have to wait a while for whatever one you don't watch live.
  2. Heads up, as much as they do stream live sets form the main stages on all days (Fri-Sun) they haven't previously streamed ALL day. The streams started mid-afternoon, missing the first 2-3 acts each day and they won't necessarily have permission to show every set even once the streams start either. As for when the sets land on iPlayer, it's some point through the night, I believe. I don't recall them being available the same day.
  3. I'll be doing the same as I have for the last 3 years and putting on a 3 day 'Glasthomebury'. - Get a TV in the garden, dress it as a Pyramid and have the BBC live stream on each day. - Stick some of the other live streams on in the living room or any other spare space I can find for a screen and speakers. - Shove some speakers, strobes and smoke machine in the shed with a beer fridge and play a bunch of Mixcloud mixes from DJs who are appearing in Pilton. - A ribbon tower, Arcadia spider, Sacred circle and 'Glastonbury' sign replicas, among other things will make an appearance - Full menu of my favourite festival foods and a supply of homebrew cider. - Switch out any photo frame in the house with photos I've taken at past festivals. - Have an open door policy for neighbours, friends and family across the whole weekend. Obviously it's not as good as the real thing and I'll no doubt wish I was on the farm at more than one point each day, but even during the lockdown years we still managed to have a great time taking some time away from work to eat, drink and enjoy some music with friends.
  4. People having already bought their supplies shouldn't impact how they expect to enforce this. You either bring it in with you on your first trip or you get told to take it back to the car on any subsequent trip and end up being pissed off! Is the easiest way round the stupid rule and exactly what I'll be doing too, yes!
  5. That was my thought! I don't see how banning bringing booze in during a second trip speeds up searches at all as either the drink is in a bag/backpack which needs searching anyway or it's a box of tins being openly carried in your arms which doesn't exactly need a search to establish what it is! My guess is that the idea is to stop people bringing supplies in on the Thursday then returning to their car Fri/Sat/Sun morning to pick up extra booze each time. If they allow that sort of thing it likely reduces bar sales and they are quite open about the fact that they think bar profits help subsidise a lower ticket price so don't want to dent them too much. Either way, I don't plan on bringing huge amounts myself so will probably carry my tent and beers in on my first trip then head back to the car for other stuff.
  6. You've got the wrong idea here, surely!? 😂 That's not nearly terrifying enough and could easily pass off as something genuinely available in the Greenfields! 😂

    Glasthomebury

I've got to ask - what did you use for, or where did you get those flags? I've looked everywhere for something similar but can only find either tiny toy versions or 3m+ professional stuff whereas that looks just about the right size for a back garden setup.

    Glasthomebury

You're not alone! After some awful planning by a friend I didn't even try for 2020 tickets as it was due to clash with his stag do and I shrugged it off as 'just one year, I can do '21 instead'. We all know how both '20 and '21 played out but with no luck in the re-sales for this year I'm now hosting my third consecutive Glasthomebury and I'm determined to make it 'The best one ever'. Site build started Saturday. The garden has been cleared up, spare rooms have been tidied for guests, some initial decorations have been scattered about and the smoke machine and sound system have been returned to 'Shredri-La'. Obviously I'd rather be in Pilton but I'm still sort of looking forward to making the most of it and enjoying a weekend long party at home. I'll certainly be glad to actually have some live coverage on the TV this year. I don't dislike Lizzo but I lost track of the number of times iPlayer's 'random' selection decided I needed to see that set as if I'm her biggest fan!!
