Bryan Ferry, and Chic for the Sunday.

Make sure you don't miss Chic, they're normally fantastic.
And having seen Roxy Music a couple of years back, Ferry is likely to be exceedingly good too.

Slightly gutted that I'm in Portugal when this is happening, Chic are always good for a dance & you can't beat a bit of Ferry. Is he exclusive do you know Neil?

Saw Chic at Bestival (I think) and I was blown away!!! Didnt realise Niles had written so many other disco tunes.

I saw them at Bestival too, and they weren't actually great there, I've seen them better elsewhere. The main problem at Bestival was that so few seemed to know who they were or even know the songs - which surprised me hugely, as well as Bestival's PR man.Saw Chic at Bestival (I think) and I was blown away!!! Nothing in the press release says exclusive.you can't beat a bit of Ferry. Is he exclusive do you know Neil?
I've never seen Ferry by himself, but saw Roxy Music at Bestival a few years ago. I love the early Roxy stuff, but in recent years Ferry's fox-hunting kid has made me think of Ferry in a very different way - and so I wanted to hate Roxy Music. But I just couldn't, they were absolutely superb.
So if Ferry by himself is anywhere near that good, then it'll be fabulous.

Yeah, as a pro animals rights vegetarian I find his views rather disgusting, I find I just have to distinguish the man & his personal choices from the awesome music he's made over the years.

I think I was in a little disco bubble of my ownI saw them at Bestival too, and they weren't actually great there, I've seen them better elsewhere. The main problem at Bestival was that so few seemed to know who they were or even know the songs - which surprised me hugely, as well as Bestival's PR man.

I do recall the crowd being quite sparce and quiet though, I had no trouble running to the front and making a fool of myself

A disco-ambivalent friend saw Chic at Lounge on the Form on Sunday.
She said they were amazing

I've seen them a few times a few years ago, and they were always excellent.
Sadly tho the crowd wasn't up to much when they played Bestival, but with Guilfest's crowd tending to be older I can't see the whole thing being anything less than superb.

Chic were absolutely fantastic.
Every time I see them I'm reminded of just how much Nile Rodgers owned the 80s.

They were the highlight of the weekend and possibly one of the best live acts I've EVER seen.
