Glastonbury Festival announces first dedicated South Asian space

They've been posting footage of what looks like the back room in Platform 23 - I never made it in there but at a guess that's maybe where it'll be. -

Anyone got any good word on any other acts playing? The stage is now on the socials btw https://www.instagram.com/arrivals.glasto?igsh=dzJpbHVsbmo5bjFw -
Pointless until the stage splits are announced
-
It was old mill I think
-
It was thin, thin stuff. Truly showcased how little decent music she's had a hand in.
-
Maps usually later on than this, no?
-
Turned on Justice, Kevin Parker came on immediately, turned it off.

All guesswork until the stage splits are announced

There's always whittling a wooden spoon at the Greencrafts Field.

Who knows. Maybe things genuinely could have simultaneously soured with Jarvis, Damon Albarn and Thom Yorke.

I mean it's not impossible.....but there's nearly 30 years of shared history there - including secret sets, solo shows, DJ slots and popping up to sing its praises as talking heads - and presumably its been an under market value deal every time.
-
Really not sure of that intel. Can't imagine they got much more than cider and crisps for doing Live From Worthy Farm.

There are secret sets and secret sets. Big difference between Radiohead at The Park and someone who's already playing elsewhere chipping up to the Crow's Nest.

TBH if Dua Lipa brings Mick Jagger out idgaf that he's not on her new album.

To expand: Yay! Boo!

My hot take is that some guests are good and some aren't - it all depends 🔥 🥵

Guitar music gets a bad rap these days and it's been a bit of a laughing stock for a while. But it's good to see it coming back with Idles headlining the Other Stage.
-
OK. Fair. But he was onsite anyway and just stood in the background joining in.
-
There's a difference between doing it for costs vs doing it for costs *and* a fat stack. In the case of Macca's guests they were clearly there for the man himself rather than to grab a huge bag.
-
Plus, although there are obvious exceptions, lots of acts don't actually do it - Arctic Monkeys, Guns'n'Roses, Billie Eilish, Kendrick, The Cure - and going back further Kanye, the Stones, Bowie, Radiohead, Adele, Foo Fighters etc all performed without them.
-
i think this has already been rumoured in a few places...

The Sun ran a story on Dua Lipa that mentioned guests.
