Personally I hope Avalon now stays away from the novelty pop acts. It looks like they are now being given slots on bigger stages and pulling huge crowds in many cases. Leave Avalon to be one of the few places with folk/rock/punk stuff on.

Glastobation did an interesting poll on Twitter. Rather than just asking are you still going, he asked how many from your group had paid up (x out of x) and then added them all up. Around 9% were back in the pot. Difficult to quantify as the people responding are at the point where they follow a Glastonbury specific account but it is probably as good as you can get without access to the actual data.

Big issue with a bottleneck to get around it. I hope it remains as the number of stages for non-dance stuff in SE Corner will be down to virtually zero if that goes. I can't see the WG stage being much more than the one that was set up last year and barely used. Hope I'm wrong but I don't think there will be room for a larger stage without a major re-shuffle.

Red Rum Club at Liverpool Arena last night, sensational stuff. Quite surreal to see them at a big venue, given they play Academy size and smaller venues around the country. Now 4 albums in, every song lapped up by the crowd, incredible scenes. 3 support acts in The Ks, The Cheap Thrills and The Kairos, all good but I think first on, The Kairos were my favourite.
