Pressure?

''No Nan, I'm not, thank f**k!''

''Dude, I don't give a f**k what fantasies you've been having, you aren't cool''

My grandma actually said to me the other day:

Grandma "So are you happy in your flat now you're all moved in and everything?"

Me "Yeah I love it"

Grandma "And your boyfriend?"

Me "I don't have a boyfriend grandma"

Grandma "Yeah, that's what you keep telling us, that's what you want us to think!"

;) Does she honestly think I've got some bloke hidden away somewhere?!?! :)

I guess so, it doesn't really matter where he comes from, the point is he must either not have a problem with me going to Glastonbury without him OR he mustn't go off on one at me if we go there together and at some point I end up wandering off on my own or I decide to start drinking at 8am :)

Indeed. I'm kinda joking ;)

But the bet thing is something I have ongoing with someone on here....they reckon I'll find someone and end up settling down soon enough, I reckon I won't. If I met someone I wanted to be at Glastonbury with, I'd most certainly be well down the road of finding someone and settling down.

Maybe.

It's ok, he knows I look after you :( (this year I forgot all about Greenfairy43's bad neck, then when I tried to stop myself hurting her I ended up spilling her drink everywhere :(;) I DID buy her a replacement drink though, and probably apologised an annoying amount of times........).

Yeay, see you there for more of the same next year :(

PS> One day I reckon you'll be able to persuade him to join you.....

    • Madonna lived in the UK for absolutely ages and I think is still largely London-based at the moment.  I'm sure she'll be well aware.     But it wouldn't need to be either / or.  Lots of acts do both  - Glastonbury for the hype and BST for the pay.
    • There is a chance that Norton's reaction was very much like our reaction, because people in this country tend to think 'big = Glastonbury'.   Having said that, though, I'm fairly sure they've gone for her again this time, and it's broken down. Whether it's only just broken down or not, I'm not sure, but I'd air on the side of - they thought they had her, up to a certain point.
    • Yeah, I did wonder if they might be getting too big for Piece Hall now. Wet Leg did Castlefield this year and were subbing them at Tramlines. Wishful thinking! I'd happily see them do another outdoor headline in the north of England, wherever it might be (except R+L, which I'm def too old for now 😂)
    • You've certainly got a bunch of American acts who absolutely adore the festival and are willing to bring peanuts for it. You can never discount The Killers on that basis.
    • Law unto herself, Madge. But I think, for a certain generation, Hyde Park still has a touch of mystery and magic - that and Wembley Stadium.
