THE Monday has arrived, in just over 5 and a half hours Impact will begin.

Hogan has the black beard back btw, Scott Norton has said he might turn up at Impact tonight too. I loved Norton back in the day. That would mean, Hogan, Hall, Nash, Waltman, Steiner and Norton all together, the cream of the nWo, I don't know who would be missing, I expect if they do do this group that Billy Gunn will be part of it also as they've kept him on the books after all but taken down his Kip James profile, so I guess he's gunna have a new name in TNA

TNA also have a new cleaner crisper logo up on their website, and apparently word is they will be getting rid of the six sided ring for a traditonal four sided one.

RVD has said he won't be at Impact tonight

Hogan cut an in character promo earlier saying that is mad with him for leaving him off of Impact tonight

I think it's pretty clear from previous posts that I personally don't give a fuck about tna. They've learnt nothing from the monday night war, the death of wcw, how to promote a show properly, or the last 7 years of making a loss despite the tremendous talent they have.

They've handed the reigns of the company over to a 56 year old broken down wrestler (who can't wrestle), and his merry band of has-beens and drunk (who can't wrestle). These goons are going to come in, bleed this company for whatever assets it has left, kill the promotion dead and then bugger off leaving a trail of destruction behind them, not caring about anything or anyone.

I dare say they'll have a good show tonight. They may even have on next week. But how many new starts have they had over the years? As I think Liam wrote above... they had a new start when Jarret joined. When Christian joined. When Angle joined. When Sting joined. When Angle vs Joe popped a rating. And countless more. None of them have ever stuck. None.

And there's no way that this 'new' start is going to stick in the long run either. And when the 'Hogan Express' leaves town; TNA will be nothing but a laughing stock, stuck with the same shitty 1.0 rating they've had for the last 3 years now.

Sooooo... in other, far more important, news...

It's Brett Hart's return on RAW tonight (even though I won't get to watch it till tomorrow), and as a warmup I've just watched Wrestling With Shadows for the first time in nearly 4 years. Still a wonderfully made documentary, and easily the best wrestling film/doc ever made.

Ok if you don't like it you don't like it. But I find TNA much more watchable than WWE, I actually don't give two f**ks that Bret is on Raw tonight. I just don't care, so I see where you're coming from, Bret Hart a selfish, overated, bland 54 year old wrestler (who can't wrestle) is coming in to get his name over, feel better about himself, bleed the company dry for his own good and then in reportedly 4 months bugger off leaving a trail of blandness behind him, not caring about anything or anyone.

Leaving the company in the same state that is was, has and always will be, a laughing stock compared to what it was once, the sports entertainment show that hates to be related to a wrestling show, soon I think Raw won't even have any wrestling on it! As long as McMahon is in cahrge, its his playground where he thinks he can tell the fans what they will like and that he is the only wrestling show on TV which sadly many people believe is true.

Oh well, what I want is TNA to do well and become the competition to make WWE become better, to make it better for wrestling fans, but whilst Vince hates the term wrestling as he seems to, we have no hope.

Whilst Im here, Brian Kendrick is supposedly debuting in TNA tonight and theres been sightings of Flair!

WWE meanwhile have twittered that Melina has been stripped of the divas title due to injury and Raw will have a 8 diva tournament tonight to crown the new champion. Wow, guess they really don't care about TNA being a threat!

Oh and WWE twittered me SEVEN times in one hour to tell me that Bret Hart will be on Raw tonight. SEVEN times! Surely everyone knows already, and if they don't they wouldn't need to be told seven times in one hour

and btw how come wwe can talk about Dr Steve Williams death but NOT umaga's? I know williams did ALOT more for wwe but wwe could have at least said something..................TNA has an AWESOME main event shame they ballsed it up by having foley pretend he is still important!

Awesome. No mention of Jeff Hardy on the TNA website, or at least the front page.

So I guess this is the sign of things to come, Jeff Hardy in the opening segment feauding with Hernadez and Abyss, whilst Hogan, Foley and Bischoff in the main event.

Great, great match, I will admit between AJ and Kurt, but you would expect them two to have a good match.

The TNA website is shit, but from the reports [im yet to watch it - I am downloading it, very slowly] the show they put out last night sounded pretty good.

Lets see what happens at the tapings tonight and in the forthcoming weeks, but its known for ages its gunna be a big Foley - Hogan storyline taking centre stage whilst Styles v whoever for the title. Dixie, Hogan etc have said that the main thing they're trying to do is get AJ as a household name, he won't be buried if thats the case, and im sure Jeff Hardy wouldn't have signed on to curtain jerk. But obviously theres a lot of things going on around the main event scene, he should have to wait

But I like it, Ive watched Hardys debut in TNA last night and it sucked tho, Tazz and Tenay sounded like they couldn't give a f**k, oh well, the latter might explain why

I have heard nothing but that he has signed and he's signed long term and its because he's sick of the WWE schelude, which Ive heard him say many times in the past.

Unfortunatly though, his drug charges haven't been thrown out at the first court stage, and its looking like he could go down! I guess that might be why TNA aren't putting so much limelight on him.

Ok... hands up here. I've just finished watching impact, and actually thought it was a decent show. Hogans first appearance where he buried Hall, xpac and Nash was pretty wonderful. It was quite clever to twist the storyline like that (we're not here to party like the old days etc...), and I got a kick out of it.

And my god... is Bischoff great or what? The promo he cut in that segment was superb, and clearly a jab a Russo. I pray Russo is not long for the company, I think that's their only hope.

And yes, the Angle vs Styles match was pretty awesome. Not the best i've seen them from either of them, but pretty dam close.

There was plenty of shittyness in the show... that stupid ass cage at the begining (Homicide not being able to get out, us not being able to see in), Jeff Hardydoing pretty much nothing, Val Venis~!, Nasty Boys etc... but enough decent stuff in there to make it watchable.

I still don't think it's all going to stick though. Saying things will be different, and actually being different are two very different things. One show does not a great promotion make. I still think this is totally the wrong direction and I can't see it working, but after tonights show I'll give them another chance.

As I've said before I rarely watch wrestling apart from the odd PPV at a mates house but last night was too good to miss.

Had both of the streams up last night and it was excellent stuff seeing Hogan, Hall, Nash, Waltman in bischoff back in the same ring again and at the same time HBK and Bret in the same ring together.

I thought RAW was pish except from the Bret segments.

Thought TNA was overall the better show last night with appearences from The Nature Boy, Hardy, Sting and an excellent main event which was a fantastic match. Something the WWE didn't offer last night was a match worth talking about the next day.

WWE hardly ever dish up a match which is worth talking about the next day, TNA have been doing it quite regular lately.

@ Halcyon, glad you enjoyed the show. I wouldn't worry about Nigel, he's been pushed into the main event as soon as he walked through the door, Im sure he'll probably face Pope at the next PPV where they will have a long match and probably an excellent one [Pope v Angle last month on Impact was fantastic] and Wolfe will win.

Before 2010 is out I can see Wolfe with the World Title.

I agree with all your points Val is ok being there though for skits and mid acrd matches, they seem to have cruiserweight body guys and then Hernadez, Nash, Morgan, they need a few more heavyweights to pad out the midcard singles I think.

However whom you didn't mention Orlando Jordan, shouldn't be one of them, the guy just sucks.

Nasty Boys are ok as long as they just have some brawls with Team 3D and Beer Money then f**k off again.

Biggest disappointment of last night was Sting and Flair hardly being seen, I don't think Jeff was booked very well either, but Im sure this will all change

Angelina Love is back tonight, be interesting to see what the spoiler report says tomorrow morning
