Yo,

So trying to stick away from all the shiznit about the headliners and getting back to facts... Is this the main ticket release date? In December? Why so early? Its normally after xmas. Will make it so much harder to get these sorted.

What are the feelings for pace of sale, will it sell in a few days, less, more? Are the tickets due to come off the market again and have another release date in the New Year?

In my old age I am struggling to understand all this new stuff!

Cheers!

I'm don't wanna go all "militant worker" here, but doesn't it seem that a pre-Christmas release is more in favour of the middle class schoolboys who always have money to spare (or at least mummy and daddy's money). I work 30 hrs a week for not much above minimum wage, I really want to go to the festival and I am going to buy a ticket, but this will put me in debt (again) because I'll have to use my credit card being so close to xmas (presents for the people I love come first). So in essence a £130 ticket will cost me £160ish once I have been able to afford my card payments. But Joe Eton and Jane Oxford-Suburbs will have no problem at all. Maybe Mr. Giddings is trying to keep us working classes out of his festival because we keep going to Morrisons for our drinks instead of pay £2 a bottle of water  I don't mind how anyone reacts to this, whether you agree or not. Hell you can even have a go at the lack of decent sentence structure up there ^ I just felt that I needed to type my piece.

I agree Mel, its a f'ing stupid idea to sell tickets this close to Christmas. I have bought my ticket (sort of!) but that's because I really wanted to go, but families with 2 adults and 2 kids that's loads of money to even think about spending this close to Christmas, they just WONT. I hope I am wrong put I think this could be a very bad thing to have done in the long run.
