Oh Dear- Ive just seen the 1pm radar=

Put in laymens terms- If the radar is true & its not anaprops ( False echoes) then a direct hit on Glaso would flood the fields in minutes-

Its also jogged a tad Eastwards...

Dont you just love the English weather..

S ;)

Goaty- run 1200 1230 & 1pm its beginning to arc to the NE

Who's in Pilton? I have no faith with predictions and guesses. What's the site like RIGHT NOW? Sensationalist news reports love to say that it will rain 'in the build up to the festival' but eveything I have heard so far has been encouraging - little rain, cloud cover and small snatches of sun. I simply don't believe anyone who thinks it will be ANYTHING like 2005.

running the graphic i'm inclined to agree that the storm over plymouth isnt looking yet like going east towards pilton....if you watch the bigger storm to the west it definately moves west of north in the last couple of shots....so i'd be surprised if the little fierce one moves east.....

The reason that Metcheck & TWO have gone towards a drier forecast is because the afternoon runs of the models have brought the nose of high pressure in a tad earlier on Friday & a bit closer to the South west......

Wheres the Swingometer this year..........???

Glasto weather man????

Slightly better news & friday definatly looks to be transition day- No real change to the overall picture though-

The reality is just slightly drier & slightly better- but I guess most would take that..........

Plymouth isn't Pilton. It sunny in Manchester, should I also judge the rest of the festrival going off that? I don't care how wet it is within 50 miles of the site - I want to know what it is like ON THOSE HALLOWED FIELDS.

Been absolutely pissing down most of the day in Cornwall. If it is Glasto-bound it will certainly drench the land ready for our arrival tomorrow. We could be dealing with mud right from the off.

I stood outside and shouted 'fook right off' to the heavens a few minutes ago, we'll have to see if that does any good.

See y'all tomorrow

i only have very limited knowledge of that rainfall radar thing, but it looks to me from the latest update like that smaller storm is going to skirt up the west coast rather than head inland.....

please feel free to correct me if I've not read it right.

OK I'm in Castle Cary, about 20 mins from Pilton

Been a sunny morning, then clouded over about 2 hours ago, its pretty warm and muggy and it feels like it want to rain, the winds have picked up but there are still some gaps in the cloud cover and we're getting the occasional ray of sunshine too,

will be in touch in the rain does arrive

I'm 15 miles south of Pilton and even though the clouds are a little darker here than they were it's still bright and not too windy yet.

I think the site will receive a shower or two at most as the cloud builds during the afternoon. Feels very humid outside so that could spark a few showers.

Any moisture on the ground will dry very quickly in any wind so hopefully once this front has passed the ground will start to dry for tomorrow morning.
