Yes... before desperation hits, I remember the example of Saturday...

BBC 5 day forecast (at the five day point) claimed it would be 29'C, clear skies, Sun Index of 6.

In the final analysis, I spent the day hiding from the rain, freezing my wotsits off.

There is hope... ;)

Yesterday I read reports of no rain, nice and dry, not especially hot. I could live with that.

And now......... you go on about MONSOONS. Not drizzle, not light rain, no - MONSOONS.

What are you trying to do to me?

Internet bullies come in all shapes and sizes, it's a shame that this nice forum hasn't escaped their clutches.

Yet another update, this time from the Metoffice

UK Outlook for Sunday 17 Jun 2007 to Tuesday 26 Jun 2007:

Little sign yet of any prolonged settled weather yet and it is expected to continuing mostly unsettled with rain or showers interspersed with drier brighter interludes. Some spells of persistent, heavy and occasionally thundery rain are likely to affect many areas, especially but not exclusively over England and Wales. Areas in the north of Scotland and Northern Isles may avoid the heaviest rainfall and see the best of any dry weather. Windy at times with strong gusts near thundery showers. Temperatures mostly near normal but warm and humid at times especially later in southern UK when it may be very warm or even hot. Conversely cool at times in northern parts of Scotland and in areas with persistent cloud and rain.

Not too sure what to make of it, but I like the words 'very warm or even hot' ... :(

Consult the Oracles, The Haruspices, The Augures, The Prophets, The Fortune Tellers, The Practitioners of Divination, The Astrologers, The Soothsayers and The Shamen!

Somebody must know what the weather will be like! :(

So, to summarise, we're looking at a potential downpour with mainly dry weather, but feeling cool, very warm or even hot.

So glad these f**kwits are paid good money for their 'predictions'.

this morning the bbc, metcheck and netweather said it would be pissing it down in london this afternoon. it is sunny.

i have lost faith in any weather prediction services after all this close scrutiny. all this "they are best at the medium term" stuff is toss, too. they can broadly say it will be warm in summer and cold in winter. that is it.
