HEHE i loved the weather thread in 2005. People were having actual meteorological arguments and we had people from the weather forums commentating. Then we had three days of Sahara sunshine and a f**king monsoon.

Surely no year was worse than 2005?? I walked to the cash points during the storm and it was seriously scarey. Rivers, mudslides 360 degree forked lightning people running around screaming. Then you couldn;t walk between stages without it taking two hours and losing 3 pairs of boots. Wish i new how to post pics on here, i hae this wicked one with a don;t walk on the grass sign stuck in 3 acres of brown mud in front of the other stage!

it was a nightmare, but i wouldn;t swap that years weather for anything. What doesn;t kill ya, only makes ya stronger!! Adversity makes for the best memories.

I swore i'd never pay any attention to weather forecasts for Glastonbury again after 2005, but now that we have the obligatory taping off areas thread then surely the time is right for Glastoweatherwatch :O

Just also to add, The rain and mud can make it unpleasant but 4 days of hot and sunny weather can be really dangerous.

Yo are unable to sleep, have sore feet from the clay hard ground, to the extremes of dehydration, sun stroke and sun burn!

From the Weatherwatch archives:

1994 - Good Time Sunshine

1995 - Sunburn hell

1997 - Totally minging

1998 - Totally minging

1999 - Good time sunshine

2000 - Good time sunshine (Thursday night's deluge excepted)

2002 - Good time sunshine

2003 - Good time sunshine (if we forget Friday afternoon / Sunday evening)

2004 - Deeply unpleasant (at times)

2005 - Totally minging

So sell your shares in Millets' wellies, that proves infallibly that we are now due four Glastonburies of unadulterated Mediterranean sun. No need for weather reports, I'll be packing that Chemial Suit away until 2011.

So even if the UK's premier glastoforecaster was to, say, go on a Honeymoon until mid-June, nobody would miss him...
