Top Gear is brilliant, will never get old. My mum watches it, she can't stand cars but finds it hilarious. That basically sums it up lol

great blog that, and obviously a lot nearer the truth than the papers would have you believe

I quite liked this piece here which talks about clarkson's worth to the BBC. Puts things into perspective a bit really.

Indeed...

Plus TG would survive fine, as long as Jezza was still there. The other two are bloody good, but not integral if you ask me. Plus, plus, they ain't dumb, they know it's his show, and they know what a fine bloody job they have.

Does it make me much of a Japanese-geek that I knew before James and Richard answered the phone that it's rude to talk on a phone on public transport in Japan?

Fantastic etiquette rule imo. I hate getting trains to Wales/London and some annoying as f**k business woman spends the time on a phone complaining about crap.

Obviously. Top Gear is now made with America in mind, so as such the editting process smacks of patronising fakery.

The bit where Hammond decided to take the film crew with him to get a can of coke and then.....UH OH! the train seperated and May and Hammond got split up! Oh noes! The one time they split up and film it is the one time something awfully comical happens! How incredibly lucky Richard Hammond! He brought the film crew and left James a personal camera which is all amazingly lucky, and comical and wacky!

Still, all good fun though. I still watch it, despite it being scripted down to the nano-letter.

I see the Hampsters got a sales job in a supermarket.

Seeing this made me decide I wanted to be famous, just so I can tell people who want me to flog stuff for them to f**k off. After all, if I wanted a sales job, there are plenty at my company already!

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
