How to avoid peak traffic and gate queues?

Three of us are doing a 5 hour drive from the north on Tuesday evening and staying in Bradford-upon-avon on Tuesday night, about an hours drive from the site. We are planning on camping somewhere around bushy ground, the only other time I have been in 2019 we camped in Pylon fields and liked it there, but it is now staff camping. Since this isn't a central/mega busy campsite I don't think there is much need to get in the 5am queues to be first through the gate, but equally want to get in at a decent time. With this in mind when is the best time to arrive to miss the first big rush? Would 10/11 am be ok or will it be peak traffic at this time? I had a coach ticket last time and we got into the site about 3pm and walked straight through the gates, so that is the only experience I know.

Staying in Bradford on Avon and heading to Bushy Ground your biggest issue will be approaching the site from West so as to park close to Gates A or D in either Pink or Orange.  Don't forget that you won't be able to drive through Pilton village east to west so you will need to loop round via Wells/Glastonbury to get onto the A361 heading east to Pilton.

I was hoping we could take the A361 straight over to the west side of the site. Will they not allow this and force you to go into the east side?

The A361 is closed to all through traffic, including festivals goers who wish to travel to the west car park from the east, and vice versa. To get to the west parking from Bradford on Avon you need to detour round via Shepton Mallet and Wells to Glastonbury, where you can pick up the A361 to the festival.
