Coach timetables

So now that I have a ticket I've got some planning to do 😄

Does anyone have a rough idea about how the timetables for the national express and see coaches (not the ones with the tickets) looked like this year? We'll be staying somewhere near the night before so I'm trying to figure out how best to get there on Wed morning.

When do they usually announce the timetables?

On the national express site you can put Glastonbury Festival in as a location now. We booked our Bristol Airport -> Festival Bus stop return tickets on ticket day. All the times are scheduled there already

Some buddies going that way. They usually get a taxi from the airport so they can stop off in Shepton or similar and get cases of beer etc. on the way. Any particular disadvantage? I think years ago taxis had to drop off at a shuttle bus and you have to then queue for that rather than get straight into festival bus stop, is that still the case do you know?

the festival drop off is the bath and west showground shuttles run from there to the site

We priced up the options and a return taxi would be about double the price from and to the airport compared to the coach. Plus the coach from the airport goes directly to the festival site and a taxi would drop at the bath and west showgrouds to meet a shuttle, which you would likely have to wait for. Hard to justify double the price and having the extra change.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
