Coach timetables

So now that I have a ticket I've got some planning to do ๐Ÿ˜„

Does anyone have a rough idea about how the timetables for the national express and see coaches (not the ones with the tickets) looked like this year? We'll be staying somewhere near the night before so I'm trying to figure out how best to get there on Wed morning.

When do they usually announce the timetables?

On the national express site you can put Glastonbury Festival in as a location now. We booked our Bristol Airport -> Festival Bus stop return tickets on ticket day. All the times are scheduled there already

Some buddies going that way. They usually get a taxi from the airport so they can stop off in Shepton or similar and get cases of beer etc. on the way. Any particular disadvantage? I think years ago taxis had to drop off at a shuttle bus and you have to then queue for that rather than get straight into festival bus stop, is that still the case do you know?

the festival drop off is the bath and west showground shuttles run from there to the siteย

We priced up the options and a return taxi would be about double the price from and to the airport compared to the coach. Plus the coach from the airport goes directly to the festival site and a taxi would drop at the bath and west showgrouds to meet a shuttle, which you would likely have to wait for. Hard to justify double the price and having the extra change.

    • Very probable. I was a bit surprised by the crowd I saw in the video they drew, and I say that as a big feeder fan. I thought theyโ€™d draw a really good sized crowd but it looked rows deep. Chuffed for them though. Still think theyโ€™re a great band after all these years.ย  Rumours at theyโ€™re doing a Polythene tour next year too.ย
    • It sounds like Feeder drew a crowd too big for that stage originally. Given the time period they havenโ€™t appeared at Download as well it's a nostalgia thing. Halestorm vs Feeder wasn't the most ideal but leaving after either to get out would have been sweet at least.
    • You cant see everything unfortunately, it would be Halsey there for me 100%, the last 20/25 of Gorillaz. Halsey would be my non negotiable act on that day myself. Oddly Bleech 9:3 would actually give me an option I wouldn't mind between 3:15pm and Halsey. Dogstar would only likely be a 10 minutes thing of I've seen Keanu lol.
    • I think the tent was just right for Feeder, on that day anyway. ย  If you had a Biffy-esque day again, or someone of that ilk (maybe Pearl Jam for example), whack them on that main stage. 100%.ย  ย  As it is, I think feeder will be back and probably high up the second stage or main stage next year or 2028.ย
    • I think we still have 2 acts to announce each day, maybe one more big name to complete the lineup? ย  Perhaps the big name is Turnstile on Thursday, which isn't sold out yet. And some other names that could be added like Iceage, Band of Horses or Tomora.
