Type 1 diabetes and Glastonbury

Im just posting this incase anyone has any questions about Type 1 and Glastonbury .. I have done several festivals with it and would like to help anyone with any questions ... pm me or ask below

Nice one,I don't have diabetes(my father is type2) just wanted to say regardless of our views on other threads it's a really cool thing for you to do to help people.

lets hope I can ... my first with type 1 ... I was a bit apprehensive so if I can type a few sentences to help others its worth doing :)

hi just a quick question we are taking our 13 yr  old nephew this year he is type one also any tips on keeping the insulin cool for the week ? thanks in advance

yep ... its going to be a hot one .... I keep mine in a frio wallet ... which is a wallet you activate by soaking it in water just reactivate it again during the fest  ... very easy to use available on lots of sites including amazon ... just google it :)  .... I also take spares of everything I can and keep these in the festival lockups ..... this year will be my first using a freestyle libre for checking blood sugar which will prove amazingly helpful ... If you haven't had them prescribed I believe they are available for about £50 and can be scanned with lots of smartphones.I see you are in Somerset and they are quite good at prescribing them as I am too  . ... any further help just quote me on here ...

cheers for the info will have a look out for the wallet  he also has cystic fibrosis so as you can imagine we will be carrying alot of meds for the week
